I've said before, he's the only striker I've seen that's 6'2" stood up and 5'9" when he jumps. He has the very unusual knack of bending almost double at the waist when going for a header, thus reducing his height. It's a very strange way of trying to win a ball in the air.

One player's prediction was potentially being discounted as their post could easily have been read two ways, but we're nice people and realised what was meant; it's been allowed this time as it's the first game this season, but please keep your predictions in the suggested format: eg: Forest Green 2-1 Latics (HT 1-1) - Nepomuceno - 2,714 Also, one player had "Own Goal" as first scorer. That does not score any points even if it's true, so please predict a Latics player to score as, should the first goal be an OG, then the scorer of the second goal (if there is one!) will count. Right, that's got that off, so here goes (and apologies for some pretty crappy cropping; try saying that after a pint or three!) Premier League @disjointed is the first week's leader as he top scored with 11 points as all but 3 players in the division went for a defeat. Not much else to say really. Championship 11 points was the best in the Championship as well, scored by @Dave_Og . Pity there's no points for actually predicting "No Scorer". @yarddog73 didn't bother . League 1 Wow, first ever prediction from @oafcmad09 and he hits the attendance jackpot! A 14 point lead after one match ain't bad. No predictions from @L1onheartNew and @mcfluff1985 League 2 Another newcomer, @alisonh1981 takes the first ever top spot in League 2 with 8 points, but it's the tightest division of all four after just one game

I know you're just on a wind up, and not a very good one at that (you really should try harder), but get your excuses/reasons/Vera love in ready for when he starts or, God forbid, completes a game and we lose. I could play against Vera and manage just fine, and I'm 75 next month and never played CB in my life.

Greetings, folks. We've a bit of a delay with the tables from the first game of the season. Someone has entered a prediction, but there is no evidence that they've paid. It may have gone astray or they may have just entered a prediction for a giggle. If they have joined, all the data will need to be tweaked, so I can't post anything yet. Whilst we are waiting, can I please remind you all of a couple of the rules? Predictions: Players must predict the half-time score; the full-time score; first Latics goalscorer and the match attendance. e.g. Forest Green 0-1 Latics (HT 0-0) - Vera - 3,331 Please keep the predictions in this format - it makes Bristolatic's life a lot easier when working on the league tables. Nor can players predict a half-time score which does not align with the full time score (e.g. Latics to be 1-0 up at half-time and Latics to lose 1-0). Each full prediction should be fully-formed and be a possible outcome of the match. Any predictions submitted which are contrary to this rule will be discounted. Someone has already fallen foul of the half time and full time scores being an impossible scenario, and therefore scores no points at all for their prediction. A few have not predicted a half time score and, whilst that does not prevent them scoring points in other areas, it could potentially have lost them 2 points. I do pop into the threads now and again and will, where possible, PM anyone that I see has got things wrong, but please check when posting that it is a full, correct and valid prediction. It will most likely be tomorrow before I can post the first tables, so please bear with me. Aye thang yow

It's an abomination of a competition and not worth bothering with. I couldn't give a toss whether we're in it or not. If we ever get to Wembley in what is nothing more than a kickabout competition, unless it's on the telly box, I'm not sure I could be arsed.
