  1. How does he do that without a complete clear out? Which isn’t possible right now. Hes brought in a handful of players (a few that have been injured) but the squad has and still does need open heart surgery. And he knows it. It’s something we’re gunna have to suffer with and try get as much out of as we can and see where it gets us. The performances are a byproduct of the problems that can’t be changed overnight.
  2. The players are taking the piss. Have been at home for most of the season. Including the Trophy games. It’s a massive attitude problem and lack of ability in several players involved. Not sure how Mellon is allowing it though…when he does pull it up (Reid) some quarters give him shit for it. He’d bin loads of these bad attitudes off if he could but he (and we) are stuck with them until at least the summer. So they’ll stink out the place on some more occasions. At this level, the club is too big for a number of them. Genuinely think some are shocked at the level of expectation & it’s too much for them. Especially when 11k turn up.
  3. Amazed I’m reading comments like “he looks broken” and “feel sorry for him” His interview is a man desperately trying not to lie & unable to say what plan he had and why he felt it didn’t work. People should feel about as sorry for him as they did for Darren Kelly. Who had the equivalent of absolutely cock all to spend on a team. He won’t walk. If he’s not pushed now, it’s more self harm this club faces by poor leadership from up top. Got great intentions…but it all goes up in smoke if they can’t right this astronomical wrong
  4. Well he hasn’t gone on a run of 1 in 8. It was bollocks coz the self proclaimed “best chance to get to Wembley” was a loss. Just folk delete that out to bullshit that it was some magical run we were on. As for some of the wins, he didn’t mastermind a Dagenham player booting the ball at his hand and the ref giving a penalty. it was lucky to have a run of games that was the easiest run of fixtures in the clubs entire history and we grabbed points by luck than judgement. It’s all run out now. Hard times setting in. I’ve not shifted goalposts once. I’ve said he should never have been appointed. He’s made mistake after mistake after mistake. We did against a knackered depleted Gateshead after they’d had a long trip south what we did against Alty in October. Zero progression. Beaten just 2 teams in the league above us and 1 away win. No back to back wins all season. Don’t blag to me that he had us on a run. It’s phoney as fuck. Come back and let’s talk about a run when he’s won 7 in 10. Or even goes ACTUALLY unbeaten for 5 games or so
  5. You did see the 2 options in my tweet right? Preferred option was and always is a win and go on a run
  6. Would love to be proven wrong but there’s fucks chance of him playing ugly or pretty and sustaining any sort of challenge. Not off what he’s shown so far. I’d take awful football if I felt it was sustainable. This Indian summer we’ve had in our season is purely down to playing pub teams and allotments. We’ve won twice against sides above us in the league. He hasn’t stumbled onto anything but a run of absolutely shite teams to play, mostly at home. It we want to talk about winning ugly then it wasn’t pretty under Dowie but you knew it was well drilled, organised, sustainable against almost all teams. And there were some players that were average but played above their natural level. Not a snowballs chance in hell Unsworth can manage a squad like that. Or even close to it. If I saw a crumb of Dowie in him I’d say give him chance. But sadly, it feels like the car salesman will waste a couple of years of our lives as his buddy keeps him in the job.
  7. He’s had ample opportunity to get these players in. He said Maynard was a key part of his team when fit. Sydie Peck was championed as some real key in the plan. Shelton a box to box guy. Chapman is his man. Been poor. He’s making them poor. His style and tactics and lumping the ball and just no real design or plan is making players look like absolute shit. Would love to see our side under another manager. Would be totally different with organisation, knowing when to press, when to hold. Players designed to play in 2s and 3s and hunt in packs. See none of it under this clown.
  8. Well you’ve deleted the Gateshead defeat from your stats coz it doesn’t suit you so go ahead
  9. Not when 7 of them have been fluked results against pub teams and allotments. Enjoy the moment.
  10. The greatest decorating job of Michelangelo proportions… Don’t be going hiding over the next 8 games
  11. Thing is, 9 of those 16 in the squad today were his players. 6 started. Any manager should be able to show he can improve what he has before being trusted with more cash to splash. We’ve had a slight upturn when facing the easiest run of fixtures in the clubs entire history. I’m convinced an actual manager gets tons more out of this set of players. Be an expensive experiment to keep churning over players. One that will fail. Poor Frank, having to put up with this and pay millions for the privilege!
  12. No need Paddy. Only you need to look silly enough doing that. But I’m crying alright…I’m devastated we are still wasting our lives (and Franks money) with this clown in charge and playing Russian Roulette with this idiot. Happy we’ve pulled 6pts clear of the drop tho. Over the next 7 games, that will get eaten away. Enjoy right now…it’s the pinnacle of yours and David’s season
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/20875649 All done to get Dickov to walk. It’s like this sort of thing never happened until AL turned up
  14. Spot on. One of them in the pub beforehand saying it'd be funny if we went 3-0 down early on. Totally reveling it they were on Saturday. Great support Some sense finally being spoken. 100% this. Protest outside the ground. Light your flares, sing your songs, wave your banners if you want. Going with intent (and yes, some did want us to do bad so they could revel in it on Saturday) to be toxic isn't on. Doesn't mean clapping them off if they're shit either. The behaviour of some of our fans was as embarrassing as watching 2 CB's that aren't CB's (one a FB, one just not good enough) trying to defend Bradfords goals.
  15. He did alright at FGR with Wheater alongside him too. Wasn't the donkey folk suggested that day. Was fucking atrocious in that 2nd half vs Crewe though (with no Wheater alongside him.) His positional sense looks to be dreadful...but that can be coached into him. Games with Stott and Sefil in the back line, we might as well just write off and I would rather it be Stott with Wheater (until Egert is fit.)
  16. Early impressions are that it feels like he is a defensively minded coach. My concern is that he is a bit of a Steve Robinson. Hopefully those impressions are incorrect.
  17. Yes. I do. I think that's pretty much the point I'm making
  18. Constant defence??? Nah.....Try...doing what used to happen, not expecting overnight success and giving chance to let a team gel, a coach instill his tactics, etc. Sadly today's society wants success or failure in a heartbeat. I'll bide my time, thanks Oh and this "unpicking"...well, it depends which version of what I've said you want to spin. In case you missed it, this is my take on things (below)....no amount of wailing by others will influence that (it's almost as though you think it would )
  19. We were looking a shout for the playoffs last season until AL, who doesn’t care about the fans (sic), appointed a guy who the fans were crying out for and who single handedly ended our season. This season...as it stands, we will be bottom half, I agree. Which would be very disappointing. But unlike most, I don’t think we are done for incomings. And we will be better off with Wheater and Egert on the pitch. Altho that does depend on Banide also. Jury is out on him and the season. Until 8-10 games have been played and the window shuts, we won’t know how things will pan out. So far, not so good. I’m not interested in excitedly predicting doom like we seem to have a lot doing lately.
  20. Defend? No. Waiting to see what squad we have, how 16 new additions fit in, hoping injuries to some key players this season clear up (Wheater, Egert). Keeping my powder dry. Not being led by agendas or hysteria. Of course I’m concerned. By all parties involved. I’m surprised by some of your posts, knowing you as I have previously. Hoping the Trust can shed some light on the books shortly and a couple of loans can improve matters. For a start.
  21. Your words were sign 2 quality players like Lang and we might just stay up. That was morbid. I didn’t say worrying about relegation with THIS current side (less those 2 quality players) is morbid. But twist what was said
