BP1960
It wouldn't hurt City to hand over £700,000 and say we know it's not much, and we don't really owe you, but it's a gesture of goodwill. Or take the £500,000 offered a few years ago retrospect.
mikeroyboy
Highly unlikely to have been written by Corney given that Chris Moore was chairman at the time. I think we should give any funds received to him to help him with his legal bills. Oops! At least it makes the remark fact and not speculation. oafcmetty
Good interview here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/sep/19/micah-richards-manchester-city-scapegoat-fiorentina?CMP=EMCFTBEML853 Key points: 1) Sounds like he'd be keen to stay with the Viola beyond his loan 2) Juve tried to sign him previously, but Mancini blocked it

Scapegoat
Even if it is a permenat deal do you think there will be a fee involved? On loan, no future at home club, contract up at end of season = City just let him go on a free transfer to remove him off the books
Stevie_J
Even if it is a permenat deal do you think there will be a fee involved? On loan, no future at home club, contract up at end of season = City just let him go on a free transfer to remove him off the books They might not go to the effort of recalling him from Fiorentina to facilitate the move if there's no fee involved. Of course, Inter might just be willing to pay more of his wages than Fiorentina, in which case there's a small benefit to City.
Stevie_J
Deal off as Fiorentina won't agree to terminate his loan deal there. Since he's very, very unlikely to stay there or to sign a new contract at City, I think we can quite safely say, once and for all, that Latics will get nowt from their sell-on clause.
