Just back from another great trip to Germany with the Eintracht Frankfurt gang, this time in Berlin. A poor match, just like watching Latics, but a good time was had by all.

Heard there was abit of trouble before or after the game.

Just been havin' a look at Eintracht Frankfurt fans on youtube. Absolutely class.

The atmosphere on Saturday was imense, saying that on the Sunday i saw Dynamo Berlin win 4-2 4th level German football and that was an entertaining game also.

I know Athletico's don't even compete with the atmosphere of the Eintracht Frankfurt ultras. However, I'm glad we have a group of fans who have a similar mindset. I believe the game on Saturday was delayed at half time due to flares and such.

Was stood yards from the flares and smoke bombs plus lots of flags also.

Not that I'm aware of on Saturday. However, on the night before the game, we were enjoying a get-together in Zur Glühlampe, when the pub was attacked and invaded by masked hooligans, leaving a couple of Latics fans with superficial injuries from a flying stool* and bottle and a smashed window in the door. It was all over in seconds with the invaders running away before anyone could retaliate. We had a whip-round to repair the door glass and put it down to another exciting aspect of the weekend. :pow:

* This may conjure up a picture of the :censored: hitting the fan! :toilet:

It's not the first time Mrs. S and I have been in a pub when attacked. We were with Shamrock Rovers' fans in Stockholm when attacked by Djurgardens' hooligans. I'm beginning to think we may be a bit of a jinx. :dntknw:

Bloody hell.

Is there a UK fan club for Eintracht Frankfurt? I've found an inactive facebook page but that's about it.

The pub incident was a bit shocking and a pub stool whistling by your ear not good fun.

It was over pretty quickly, the pub was lively and songs from both sets of fan good to join in with.

So will be back next season for sure.

Eintracht fans in a punch up with Leeds fans at a Friendly game in Austria.

"The Yorkshire Post have reported that a group of Frankfurt supporters were held outside the 2000-capacity Sportzentrum in Eugendorf before the match but were allowed to enter at kick-off.

The newspaper quoted Neil Slinn, a Leeds fan at the match, as saying: “A few of us went over to applaud the Frankfurt fans.

"I was going to shake their hands. Then their ultras jumped over the (advertising) boards and started attacking us.

"Some were wearing balaclavas and we were outnumbered.”

1-1 today at Home to a very strong Augsburg side.

Thought Augsburg were going to win it. Very dominant throughout. A cracking stike from Augsburg striker Fransisco Caiuby gave them the lead. Marco Russ getting the late leveller. I feel that Eintracht Frankfurt are going to struggle without the injured Alex Meier. Cracking atmosphere as normal from the Eintracht faithful.
