To get a rate that low they must have had a credible business plan to show the lender. It's loaned by Nick Luckock of Apax, due to be paid back in 2022. They are also charging Bolton fans for refunds of their tickets. The administrators running Bolton right now are a disgrace. They’ve got away with it too.... Bolton were almost guaranteed to lose the game and have been 'punished' for not fulfilling the fixture. But are still expected to play the game with a much greater chance of winning. So effectively if they win the game they will almost certainly have benefitted from breeching the regulations without effectively being punished. I'd have awarded Doncaster the fixture or not suspended their points deduction. Especially as if the EFL had reached a suspended points deduction due to the Brentford game in the close season that would have been activated by the Doncaster game. The EFL have created a rod for their own back by treating Bury and Bolton differently in August.
disjointed
Didn't Middlesborough getted docked 3 points for not fulfilling a fixture, effectively relegating them from the Premier league.
nzlatic
Really not sure how cancelling a fixture themselves so they can play it later in the season when at full strength doesn't get them a deduction. Poor precedent to set in my opinion.

Donny should have been awarded the win though. It was a situation of their own making, not a freak food poisoning outbreak. Agreed on that as a minimum punishment mind. Also, it's not particularly fair that some teams got to play against the Bolton youth and pick up an easy 5-0 thumping. You don't need hingsight to know this should have all been resolved before the season started.
Hometownclub
I bet they're wishing they'd cancelled more (if not all) of their fixtures now, given that they have suffered no penalty for doing so.

Dick_Valentine
Noblot on the receiving end of another dicking, some suggesting that the officials are under directions to give them bugger all. Looking at the pen/red card I think they might be onto something?
