Bristolatic
Released to give him the chance of first team football elsewhere. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/david-mellor-released-2456546.aspx

Flemboy
Should have seen if Fulham would do a swop for Matty!!!!
Postman Matt
I dont think its a coincidence that the North Stand is near completion and Mellor is released....
Chris Richard
Poor brick laying skills of Mellor exposed, perhaps?

Yes just a bit of landscaping and final fit to do and it will be fully operational......
HarryBosch
What a shame. He looked good during the only decent run he had in the team alongside Korey Smith.

Yep, a left footed midfielder who can pass and tackle, should have been worth his weight in gold. He could have looked after himself better perhaps and maybe he was given contracts for non footballing reasons but still a shame.
MAC0AFC
Agree with Bosch and Eyres, should have would have could have fulfilled potential if he wasn't forced out to left back simply because he's got a left foot! Hopefully he'll cut it elsewhere.
Stevie_J
I struggle with the notion he's got bags of ability; I've never really seen any evidence of that. And I don't agree that he's blameless for his failure to make an impact.
