looks like a hard hard training session... not one player smiling until the final picture...

Good to see 23 Rob Hunt out there too.

Gardner looks like he's picked up an injury.

Many of the squad simply won’t get a look in from now until we have secured our league 1 stay for another year.

Also expect the usual turnaround prior to next season ?

Not sure about that, we have a stronger spine tied down to longer term deals for the first time in a long time.

Agree about the periphery of the squad though.
Placide

Dummigan option
Gerrard

Gardner

Byrne

Davies

Holloway

Doyle (confident Lee Sinnott is right.)

Arguing against my own point, I guess you could put a case for getting rid a few of those if we can afford to replace with stronger players.

Sorry, slightly off-topic but the Fane thread seems to have been closed. Anyway it's a nice story and shows that footballers do care about the fans!

Deserves much greater exposure - and should be on our website. People are quick to slag footballers off (often justifiably) but that’s a class gesture from Fane

Exactly, a little bit of thought for others can go a long way.

Not a United fan, but got to admire Mata too for his visits to Royal Oldham Hospital

You'd think there were no hospitals or schools in Salford & Trafford the amount of time he spends in Oldham......

You never know, he might decide to play for us one day.:)

It's getting to that time again, so going off previous posts:

Contracted for next season

Placide

De La Paz

Gerrard

Edmundson

Hamer

Hunt

Gardner

Kyeremeh

Byrne

McEleney

Maouche

Davies

Holloway

Duffus

Likely to have options taken

Dummigan

Mantack - sympathy contract

Nepo

Loans expiring

Bryan

Benyu

Doyle

Nazon

Contract up and likely to go

Brian Wilson

Moimbe - although i'd keep him if he's cheap.

Obadeyi

Omrani

Fane - dependent on who you speak to.

McLaughlin - big wage and injury prone

Would love to see Doyle stay but will he given the style of football we've been playing recently? Hopefully he'll have been forgotten about and we have a chance of keeping him if we stay in League 1.

The defence should be built around Edmundson in my eyes, improving bucketloads every game, becoming more composed on the ball, aggressive and vocal.

Would love to see Scholes-Beard in and around the first team too, could be our Oztumer

Out of that rabble I'd keep seven and another one maybe, two of the seven are loans so from our contracted players only five or six for me could do a job next season.
