2 x GK's

1 x LB,

1 x Striker/winger

how many loaners can you have? I suspect all the above may be loans which are likely to be done in the last week or two of pre season if so.

Be daft if your keeper came in a week before the start of the season.

Granted 1 x GK is likely to be in earlier...we can always use youth gK's in pre season games. Doesn't bother me if it means we get a better Calibre of GK for the start of the season. Not exactly critical to pre season tactics other than distribution, organising the defence and how they collect crosses etc.

For a change the squad is looking decent already.

Looking at it I'd make x2 keepers, LB (one that is also comfortable playing as a wing back if Shez sticks with 3-5-2?), LW (ideally left footed for balance) and another striker the priorities.

Then if any room left in the budget another LB however I'd be happy going into the season with just one new LB with Stott & Wilson able to cover there.

Apart from the keepers, have we 2 for every position now?

Left side still looking a bit light?

think we might have to live with that now though.

Cant imagine we will have too much left in the kitty after 2 keepers and possible midfielder

I'd imagine if we play 4-4-2 it would be McLaughlin - wearing 11 so far in pre-season - in front of Hunt. Any other formation I reckon it'll be Hunt and McLaughlin competing at left wing back. Stott and at a push Wilson can cover left back.

I get the impression from watching McLaughlin that he'd struggle anywhere on the left side of the pitch and the same goes for Dummigan, our left sided options consist of Hunt, Stott and Wilson and further forward Obadeyi and Flynn with the later probably capable of playing as a wing back at a push, not sure where another left sided players fits in as we have adequate options and don't want to overload the squad with players who we are unlikely to use.
