I’m enjoying the A to Z series on the official web site. Also loving the blue and red hooped shirt. - classic 😀

Some strange choices though: Sean Gregan over Alan Groves? Ludicrous to an old timer like me - even Andy Goram should surely come before Gregan?

They say they will be linking it to a 125 year celebration somehow, maybe that's why.

Playing to the audience. Gregan reaches to a larger proportion of supporters, those of us that saw Groves can flick 2 fingers at everyone else, we were well and truly honoured.

Interesting piece on Mark Crossley in The Times today on accepting that his time in football is probably over and the perspective of his father being seriously ill at a time like this. I didn't know that he was the only keeper to save a Matt Le Tissier penalty.

Also mentions Dean Windass who has attempted suicide twice since he retired.

One of the best meals I've ever had in there. He's not mentioned Latics once yet.

The concept of, "ordinary cook," has moved quite some way since Lloyd Grossman was doing the show
