Shez has gone

You might laugh but with the amount of talent in that squad last year Byrne, Kean, Doyle, Clarke we could have potentially have been playing Championship football this season if we'd stuck with Sheridan. His record over the previous two years and in 2006/07 proves we wouldn't have been far away.

It is all hypothetical now, but I don't think we would have been anywhere near the relegation places if we had kept Sheridan...

The events of last season were enough to put Lemony Snicket's to shame.

Placide's mum, Doyle's clot, Corney's chain dragging, the loan returns et al.

Truly bizarre.

Shez would not have made any difference.

They were all going to happen. Including the inevitable.

I don’t agree! And even if that we’re true would we have been better places with shez and his knowledge going down. I think so

Placide's Mum .... I wish people would stop bringing this up, but as mentioned earlier he only played six times for us before this happened.

Doyle's clot .... Sheridan would have got an adequate replacement. Note being Davies ( see later in post)

Corney's chain dragging .... Not sure how this impacted on performances

Loan Returns .... We didn't return anyone significant did we apart from KB for a few games?

After looking at the above, Davies scored 6 in 8 under Sheridan at the start of last season. When Sheridan was sacked he preceded to score 5 in 32. States alot about the effect Sheridan had on him or perhaps used him to the best of his abilities.

He had that effect on every striker he ever worked with!

Id like to think that given the chance the money we spunked on Maouche Omrani and Menig would have been better more shrewdly spent by Sheridan probably making the difference along with a straight swap with placide for Ripley. Id like to think his experience would have meant he would have handled Jack Byrne better too.

Can we have a John Sheridan’s blue and white army at Carlisle if we’re winning? Or a Sheridan give us a wave at 0-0? PLEASE

No, unless we are winning comfortably in injury time.

Cheering for the manager of the opposition during a competitive game where the outcome is still TBD is daft.
