People keep saying Abdallah doesn't want a relegation.

It might be exactly what he wants, his actions since the summer have done little to suggest otherwise.

Go on, have a crack at what his motivation could be for wanting that.

Let's be honest, the outlay was likely to be minimal if anything at all given no land or stand.

We may well have been one of the cheaper ways to buy in to a Football League club but I'm just not having it that relegation is the plan.

Are we so mired in the bad decisions of the past 20 years that we believe this to be a genuine possibility?!

Relegation is likely to help him get rid off some players allowing him to bring more of "his" players in.

As BB80 said that's been a clear objective since he became linked, and actually Transfer Deadline Day won't affect it much.

How?

If they're out of contract, it doesn't make any difference.

If they're under contract, how will it make them easier to move on? Other clubs are less likely to pay fees or match wages for unsuccessful players.

Lots of players can be released from their contract if they are relegated, depending on the clauses within the contract. (Or am I taking too much stock in Championship Manager).

I can see the likes of Byrne and Davies being loaned out to League one sides if we get relegated.

But we don't have that many players under contract on big wages that weren't signed under Lemsagam's watch. To court relegation just to activate relegation clauses for three or four players would be cutting off his nose to spite his face. And it makes for a less visible and less attractive shop window for any players he might want to bring in.

What was Leyton Orient’s owner’s motivation to be relegated? Somebody said it with conviction early in the thread.

No idea and to be honest don't really care.  Not sure that just because someone says it with conviction it becomes a FACT

So the conspiracy theory is that Lemsagan brings in his (now former) clients who are being managed by an associate. Lemsagan uses club funds to pay excessive agents fees to these players for which he personally gets a cut?

As he must be providing the club funds it would be a little pointless.
