  1. 1. Does Lemsagam owe us ka-myoo-ni-ka-shun & a Plan?

Recommended Posts

We’ve heard nothing of substance thus far, does he now owe us a description of his plan?

- OAFC2004 Ltd makes a loss every year. In normal Limited company circumstances, this is not sustainable. Are you [AL] going to cover that loss and write it off every year until you can make it profitable? i.e You will not saddle OAFC2004 Ltd with Director loans that it has to pay back if/when you come to sell it?

- In order to achieve this, you will need to target an increase in revenue from player transfers and supporter numbers. How are you going to do this?

- Are you going to increase the playing budget so we can attract / sign more expensive [and hopefully therefore better] players, or are you going to operate within the same budget restrictions as our previous owner(s)?

- We are aware you believe you can unearth talent from your extensive knowledge of the World/European player/transfer market, however what are your views of investing in the youth set up [scouts, coaches, facilities] in an attempt to increase the frequency of & profit from home grown talent?

- Will it be possible to reduce the reliance on a procession of loans, rewarding prospects with good contracts and putting an end to selling cheap?

- We hope an improvement in the team's performance will attract/bring more fans back, however will you also address some of the obvious inadequate facilities in the 3 stands you own and find a way of getting Blitz/Gazal to complete the fans bar on the top floor of the north stand? Possibly through part or complete funding yourself and/or striking a deal that sees an increase in revenue for the club from the OEC?

- Will you invest in a new pitch and upgrade/improve the training facilities?

- Finally, will you work closely with OACT and the Marketing/Media team to do more to promote the club to the wider Oldham community including a better funded Boundary Blues with improved facilities/Events?

Don't hold your breath, if you expect answers to any of this.

Blackpool, with all their on and off-field troubles, went down to League 2 in 2016 and came up via play-off last year. This season they finished respectable 12th, 10 pts more than us. So it's possible. Gary Bowyer is an experienced and shrewd manager.

Its amazing to think that next season we will be only couple of leagues away from the likes of Ashton United, Curzon Ashton and FC United and only one behind Salford.

If he invests will you ? You know under 12s cal have a free season ticket if you get yourself one ?

No - I am not local / I have other things taking up my saturdays now - but trust me - a couple of hundred from me isn't going to change fuck all anyway.

You need to stop thinking individuals like me can make the difference.  The club needs 7 days a week money coming in - infrastructure - revenue sources but the reality is  - we need a sugar daddy.  Always have, always will.  Your not turning a project with a club like us.

So the remaining let’s say 3500 ‘individuals ‘ should just fuck it off too ? After all it won’t make a difference. Supporting a club is my vow for richer or poorer till death and all that. But thanks for your response. And I’m not taking the piss btw.

What difference has it made over the last 10 years ?  Do you think I am wrong ?

No you shouldn't just fuck off - but you have to be real about how much difference it makes in the grand scheme of survival.  The club need other forms of income.

Not true really is it?

I would argue the club has been on a slow decline since the real money men behind TTA left...  Its been a slow death under Corney...  I find it amazing you think I am wrong...

You've been quiet for a while. Now you can't keep off.

I’ve not seen many positive early signs from the new owner. I mean his imports are mostly gash. But I’m hoping he does have a plan in place to take us forward. I’m willing to give him time. But I must admit I’m not overly confident.

You said we have always needed a sugar daddy.  We didn't have one in the rise from Div 4 to 2 under Jimmy Frizz and we didn't have one in the glory days.

Do you realise how long ago that was ?  It was certainly less of an issue back in the days.  These days you certainly do require investment.  And I think your forgetting that money was injected at various points.  The club has never survived entirely off its own means.

Without some serious investment who can see us staying up next season ?

Time for the new guy to show his hand...

The first sign will be Hamer sold.
