QLD:

Despite having won 11 out of the last 12 series including 10 straight, 2018 will be a tough ask for the Maroons.

The three retirees, Cam Smith, Cooper Cronk and arguably the greatest player ever to play the game in Jonathan Thurston have been instrumental in cementing Queensland's dominance over the last decade and are virtually irreplaceable. In addition, the withdrawal of Billy Slater this morning with a recurring hamstring injury as made the task even more difficult.

However the likes of Valentine Holmes, Dane Gagai, Michael Morgan and Cameron Munster who ran the show in game 3 2017, will be certain to pick up the gauntlet and rise to the challenge. Then there is the new captain; the irrepressible Greg Inglis. GI is a God to many, a man mountain to the oppo and will be the proudest player on the field.

NSW:

Nine changes from last year. Who the feck cares?

Go Maroons!
