jorvik_latic Posted July 11, 2018 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Thanks for the kind words all. It wasn't an easy decision to make but the Trust is in a better place at the moment. I still believe in the work that they do and have offered support and advice on an adhoc basis. It's been a mix of things but mainly it's the time and effort involved and the frustration of being stuck in the middle of not being able to answer the fans questions directly (lots of questions), even though you know you're doing the right thing all the time. Divulging sensitive information can damage the club and that's the last thing we all want. Just know that the Trust is well connected and will always do the right thing even though it may not look like it, it's not the secret society that some claim. We've had some difficult discussions and decisions to make under the previous regime and hopefully we will start to move forward as a club once Abdallah clears up the mess left behind. I have full faith that the Trust will keep a watchful eye over the running of the club and help out or question the owner when required - they aren't all thinking that he's the messiah but it's an improvement (that's not hard, I know)! Oh - get down to Latics on Monday for the Meet the Manager.
