His League goals  and assists made 6 pts difference (ie if he hadn't scored, and omitting goals where we'd still ahve won or lost if he hadn't scored.) 2 extra pts v Crawley and Bury, and his goal and assist got us 2 more pts v Exeter.  We'd be 19th 6pts clear of relegations, and in some serious danger like you say.

While his performances have been invaluable, these stats are a bit skewed. They assume that whoever would have played in his place wouldn't have scored / assisted. In games where he didn't score, might someone else have scored?

Would've been whichever of Miller or COG wasn't playing. So no, probably not...

So the excellent centre forward just went back to play Premier League rather than fourth division football.

 

Still, obviously he was homesick/always pretending to be injured/signing for Preston/signing for Portsmouth/signing for Oxford/signing for Bradford.
