Thought we started a bit negative. One up front against bottom of the league and they started on the front front.

We eventually got into it. Lang excellent first half but couldn't find end product

Defence solid but edmunson especially guilty of over playing and either loosing the ball or putting his team mates under pressure.

Lyden and missle often got in each other's way but county's midfield wasn't up to much so we got away with it. Nepo and branger linked well down the left.

Thought it was a poor game to be honest and a better side would have caused us more trouble but other than a spell second half when we lost shape we were never in any real danger of loosing.

Sturridge and Lang if they both go are going to be very hard to replace. We are in a good position but this could be as good as it gets.

Hopefully someone with experienceof this level is coming in not another cheap ass  appointment...I really don't want yet another in club appointment

One step nearer to

what ? Manager for the Fulham match ? I wouldn’t begrudge him that.

Unless the new manager is appointed tomorrow he'll be manager (effectively) for the Fulham game.

Thought we deserved to win, without playing brilliantly. County were poor in truth; hoof to Stead and hope. We had a ropey period in the second-half where we seemed to be tiring and / or panicking, but thankfully Oxlade-Chamberlain jr contrived to get himself sent off and it was plain sailing after that.

Lyden, Clarke, Lang in particular played well. Nice to see young Robinson have a run out.

Judging by Lang and Surridge's reactions at the end, I'd be surprised if we see them at BP again... they'll be tough to replace.

Some rather negative reviews.

Yes they were poor but they also battered Bury last week by all accounts and you can only beat what’s in front of you.

Anyhow. George had Stead in his pocket the whole game.  Midfield dominated when the ball was down.  O’Grady played well, Lang ran himself in to the ground as did Branger and Clarke was VERY fired up.

Churlish to criticise anyone after that.

Omwards and upwards.

Liked Robinson's cameo.

Good balance and found a blue shirt with a full length crossfield ball.

Must have a lot of confidence to be able to do that on debut.

Very composed. He’ll have loved that few minutes.

Will have a very proud mum and dad tonight and I bet he won't sleep.

Agree. Absolutely garbage from first minute to last. Not seen a team with such little threat. And they have spent a fair bit. U’d be devastated if that was ur team. Got a good run of league fixtures. Win a decent percentage and can be amongst the leaders by end of Feb

5 looked decent and Stead tried. Dennis was anonymous.  How much did they pay for him?

Had too many visions of stepping back into the early season tactics today.

Playing an extremely poor side at home with one up front.

At least 3 times in the first half both Hamer & Lang couldn't cross the ball because there was nobody in the box.

A win is a win but any top 6 side would have made us pay today and if that's what Wild has picked up from Bunn then we need a fresh face in.

Wasn't the best game but a win is a win. Referee was shite, gave himself nowhere to go after misslou's booking so there lad was unfortunate to be sent off. Thought the liner on the main stand touchline was checking her washing line the flag went up that often.

Lyden looked like the player that Villa fans said we had.

Bit of a muted atmosphere but the away support didn't help, they will be lucky to stay up on that showing.

I like that we left 2 players on the half way line when they had a corner. Wild can have a 3 year contract for that.

One of the frustrations with Bunn.

Always been fascinated by this. Once discussed it with someone in the pro game.  He said the view was the more bodies and therefore less room in the box , the less likely it was that the attacking team would score hence defending teams bring everyone back.
