The problem is beneath the subsoil. The ground is built on seriously dodgy Victorian landfill which doesn't allow for natural drainage. Water 'ponds' on the landfill. The groundsman has said he has been supported fantastically (his words) by the club which suggests the pitch maybe in better nick than previous years.
