Our problem has been the £20 million + millstone TTA have welded to our heads, only someone as thick as AL would take on the major loss making part of a business with no tangible assets, to this day I still don't know why he bailed Corney the bullshitter out.

Nope, hasn't made sense from day one.

In reality,  there was nothing the fans could've done about it, but it is frustrating how many people just went with it just because it meant getting rid of Corney..

So he can sign a load of the foreign legion that happen to be under his former agency now his brothers agency and they can increase that revenue

Extension until Tuesday. This makes Brexit negotiations look almost competent.

And in 12 months time when we are in exactly the same position again, history will repeat.

considering the club has no staff or squad its not like they are going to be able to start playing games straight away is it?

can you really start a season with about 10 postponements?

watch them get an extension to the transfer window too

A new site away from BP is the only thing that would make us a viable option for anyone wanting success with the club. Fuck all left and if we did have fan ownership, realistically, we'd do well to stay at the level we're at. Can't believe there weren't more buyers wanting to take us over after Moore given the land that has slowly been taken away from the club.

Not really, because we'd still be saddled with the current owner.

Still have the old debt.

And new debt to build a stadium.

His brother can't be an agent now he's the sporting director surely?

Is  that family link even allowed under EFL rules?

Of course he and the Lemmy brothers never ever discuss his agency’s players and OAFC

and of course it’s not allowed - the EFL has a stringent Fit and Proper Person test - ask Bury

Shame the family agency specialise in shit players.

This is the really galling thing in all of this. It would be an absolute genius of an operation if the players were actually good.

They seem to have a knack of finding absolute dross.

They are on -12 points with a backlog of fixtures the manager and best players who were behind the promotion have moved on. They will likely be under transfer embargo for sometime to come so will be putting out a scratch side at best over the course of this season. They will be relegated. It might take longer than that still to solve the problems.

I don't see what is to be gained from relegating them now. Its like the people who say they "deserve" to go bust its a laughable point of view. All you do there is punish the loyal employees who will lose their jobs and fans of the club who themselves were sold down the river. Stewart Day and Steve Dale caused this mess making Bury start again in the North West Counties league won't be a punishment to them

There was a Bury fan on BBC's Breakfast programme this morning who still doesn't get it. He said they got promotion playing some of the best football he had ever seen a Bury side play. It didn't seem to dawn on him that bringing in players capable of playing that kind of football cost more money than Bury could afford.

Some Bury fans were sold down the river as they knew they couldn't afford their squad in League 1, nevermind the squad they had in League 2, but couldn't really do much about it.

Others, however were boasting of their squad 24 months ago. One saying they had a better squad than Wigan. A lot of League 1 fans pointed out they couldn't afford that squad with their income and they'd need their buckets soon.

Low and behold they actually went bust more than 12 months ago, but with some clever accountancy and a bloke willing to be hated, who is a known asset-stripper, they managed to cheat their way to promotion. Now their whole existence is hanging by a thread.

I feel slightly sorry for the Bury fans who were sensible enough to know they couldn't afford their squads for the past 2 seasons. But the other lot can get fucked. Especially anyone responsible for the banners in support of the Oystons and Anderson.

Fortunately one thing this whole scenario has done is magnify the incompetence of the EFL. They might start tracking other financially precarious clubs more closely, us included. Regulation of football might be made independent of the league system too.

I was told 2 years ago that the EFL were monitoring Bury bu weren't sure what was going on. Great monitoring that.

Spot on Ben, the EFL management committee wouldn't pass a decent 'fit and proper test'. It's run by incompetent oafs too full of their own self importance.

Funny how now everyone in Bury is a fan and has been going for 50 years.

Bloody hell listening to the local media they should have been getting over 20,000 fans every game.

Some towns and Oldham is heading in the same direction don't deserve a football league team.

Maybe Bury fans have been boycotting for years due to their owners being twats. That 's what your supposed to do apparently. otherwise you're not a real fan.

It occurred to me the other day that maybe they planned to make a profit by selling shit players to the middle east on the basis of them having played professionally in England (without mentioning that they were crap at it). Would probably work if Latics weren't shit at the time of asking

I don't want to see Bury vanish from the face of the Earth, however, they effectively 'cheated' their way to promotion by breaking the rules. There should be no last minute reprieves and those so-called fans giving it large on Bury's footballing heritage and the right to have a team in League One should realise they are lucky to have team at all, given all the underhanded shit that has gone on there.

Relegation to the bottom of the pyramid, in my opinion, is what the club deserves.
No doubt, there will be let-off after let-off.

It's a joke.
