He's an ex-agent - having “disconnected” himself as an agent to buy our club - and then floods our club with imports from player markets he previously dabbled in. Clearly he knows those agents involved and even the selling clubs that the deals have been struck with. You don’t have to be Columbo here. However he’s realising that the quality he knows won’t deliver success so signed (or fell upon) domestic players too to bolster a weak squad. He’s never going to go 100% domestic because this would cut his plan off at the knees so he’s praying we finish outside relegation. Promotion to League 1 or Championship will never happen based on his recruitment at moment because he cannot afford quality in those overseas leagues he’s dabbling in. He’s restricted to signing bargain basement players from the swamp he’s accustomed to swimming in. Acquiring on mass to maximise the number of deals done.
