Never scored more than 9 in a season. But he does tend to score in bunches.

Their might be more to his game than his goal scoring record shows and we shouldn't use stats alone to judge him but Im not anticipating this to be the answer.

How many have we got in the squad now?

Wasnt he a useful player- back in the day? Where has he been since Tranmere?

This season he's played 11 games and scored 3 times  for this lot:

Masfut Cultural & Sports Club is a football club from Masfut, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The club plays in the UAE Division One.[2]

Could be a Lemmy signing.

Haven't a clue about the fella and so nothing personal at all.

What we can surely read into the 2 recent short term signings, though, is that it smacks of desperation and a "sticking plaster" mentality within the club.

We must have the biggest squad for a long time - and can't turn a consistently decent side out at all. We now rely on a 34 and 35 year old to re-ignite our season. What an absolute shambles of a recruitment policy we have. Roll on the protest.

At this time of year sticking plasters are the only way to bolster our wafer thin number  of just about good enough players.

But you're right the recruitment has been a total shambles.

There are three additional areas in which the Club has not performed well for some time:

The value of the squad which the Club has allowed to decline significantly. Players have been sold through uncompetitive deals, contracts have been short, and the value of the squad has been repeatedly depleted.

He's sure fixed that.

I am no AL apologist either but his woeful mismanagement has lost the club far more revenue than he has had to invest

He has lost about 1/3 of his decent hard core (what was more or less unlosable support) with his abysmal recruitment,  scorched earth policies both on-and -off the pitch and covering himself with people who he can "trust" rather than can do the job. His investment (whatever it really is) will fall well short of the £s he has squandered on his brother's appointment a sporting director, appointing an MD (do we need one at our level?), constant firing of non-playing staff (5 goalkeeping coaches to best of my knowledge in his reign) and paying off contracts. Oh and signing a good 10/15 players who are nowhere near the club now but are drawing a salary.

If Latics were well  run, we would probably struggle financially - we are run abysmally - is it any wonder we are losing £s hand over fist?
