EFL decision - Macclesfield point deduction

Why couldn't they have played behind closed doors. Macc. will now have to cover Plymouth's expenses, which won't be cheap because of an overnight hotel bill, and the possibility that Plymouth have paid to use training facilities somewhere.

What a precedent that would set!  The whole point of professional sport is public interest.
