No. Nothing like. Stott will never play for England. Tarky is in a different league (literally). Think he’ll get a move to one of the big boys in the near future. I love to see the lad doing so well.

The tarky sale could end up being the biggest cock up in the history of this club, the least he'll be sold for is £50M and it might be more.

The club would have been set up for years on what should have been due 😪

We wouldnt have been due anything anyway as if he moves it would be his third transfer after playing for us. We lost out on the first original transfer as we could have got more. Then missed out on second transfer from brentford coz of corney. If he moves for a third time we wouldnt have been entitled to anything anyway

I thought Rochdale had sell-ons on some players  "ad infinitum" - but I may be wrong.

They're under that impression on their forum ( so it must be right though !!! ).

This is how I think the squad should look come May, maybe the odd other change too Engone maybe see how he does now in a positive team.
About half a dozen deadwood to release, after the loanees return.
Couple have come back into the reckoning with our recent upturn in form,.

FArewell to our longest serving player, Jamie Stott, deserves a testimonial...

What do you regular attendeees think?

1. Gary Woods (2021)

20. Zeus de la Paz (2020 plus option)

2. Zak Mills (2020)

3. Alex Iacovitti (2021 plus option)

6. Jamie Stott (2020 plus option) sorry Jamie,  it's not wokring, not quite breaking into the team, all these managers can;t be wrong.

15. Javid Swaby-Neavin (probably 2020 plus option, on loan to Radcliffe for the season)

29. Tomáš Egert (2020 plus option)

31. David Wheater (2020, option to 2021 reportedly triggered)

34. Tom Hamer (2022)

7. Johan Branger-Engone (2020)

10. Mohamed Maouche (2020)

11. Gevaro Nepomuceno (2020)

17. Christopher Missilou (2020)

18. Dylan Fage (2021)

24. Mohamad Sylla (2020)

25. Chris McCann (2020 plus option)

43. Reece Gaskell (youth)

16. Scott Wilson (2020)

19. Désiré Sègbè Azankpo (2020 plus option)

21. Marvin Kokos (2021 plus option)

27. Kielen Adams (2020 plus option, on loan to Chorley)

37. Lewis McKinney (youth, on loan to Runcorn)

53. Zac Emmerson (youth)

55. Zak Dearnley (2020 plus option)

56. Danny Rowe (2021)

Return to clubs

54. Mani Dieseruvwe (half-season loan from Salford plus option to sign)

23. Christian N'Guessan (half-season loan from Burnley)

26. Jonny Smith (full-season loan from Bristol City) Obvisouly try and sign but ot going to happen

8. Filipe Morais (full-season loan from Crawley)

57. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (half-season loan from Manchester Utd)
33. Carl Piergianni (half-season loan from Salford)  Try and sign

I think I would add Woods to the list to be replaced.

Correct and they've done the same with the Mathieson to Wolves move.

Can't find any examples now I've looked - thought it was Holt, Lambert, Dawson etc but these just seem to be normal add-ons on next deals!

They do get good 20% or 30% add-ons like Hogan which they keep!

No point us doing any of that now, nothing worth more than a handful of change,

Young George was worth far more than the club received and so it came to pass 😞

Just need a premier League club to want Emmerson or Williams for example.

Bury were doing very well with youth products though so not every club are as good (lucky) as Dale have been.

It’s a clause of any future profits. If Brentford didn’t put any clauses in (they did) we wouldn’t get money. As it stands, we’ve lost out on £100k or more on the £500k they received for his first international match (it will be the same again if he plays a competitive England match), and a percentage of the difference between what they sold him for and what they paid us. There would have been more if Burnley sell him - a percentage of the difference between prices again if Corney hadn’t sold the clause.

Thanks Simon.

And if we hadn't received that clause buy out money there may not be a club to support now. We were skint.

For God's sake let it go and move on!!

For the amount he probably sold it for, he could have got more from Necarcu or Blitz and mugged Abdallah off with it like the other debt.

Thing with Corney here was he was stung by the Micah Richards saga - quite often, it looked like we would be in for a couple of million and it all came to nothing, despite City offering to cash it in at various points. He cashed in on the one he should have let play out, and he let play out the one he should have cashed in on. Textbook Corney really...

I find our treatment of this chap utterly bizarre.

Good luck to him - hope he goes and scores a hatful, showing further what an incompetent shit-show we are (not that much further proof is needed..).
