Ackey
What do they gain from boycotts? There team (with it stacked against them) would have no away support and have even less of a chance. When you think you can't hate them more... they make you feel sorry for them and their mental retardation!
Diego_Sideburns
I posed the question on the other thread will Bates go to the High Court next or will he go to Hell? Apparently the High Court is not an option. Lord Mawhinney said the Football League has an ageement with all clubs - it's a condition of coming out of Administration that neither the Club nor the FL takes the other to Court over these decisions. So Hell it is then for Bates!

Bradford City Burnley Colchester United Darlington Gillingham Ipswich Town Nottingham Forest Plymouth Argyle Queens Park Rangers Sheffield United Sheffield Wednesday Stockport County Stoke City Swindon Town Watford Wrexham Only Gillingham, Forest and Swindon from our Division. I reckon dirty Leeds need at least 66 points to avoid relegation. It'll take a special type of player to rise to that challenge, where the club is still in the relegation zone despite the team keep winning. Have they got that type of player? Have they got a manager who can motivate players who have that cloud hanging over them? I don't think so. Now they've brought in Alan Thompson and made him club captain. How can someone who's come from the relative luxury of Celtic, where he has expected to win every game at ease, be the man to lift the team out of quicksand? costadelblue
Who does the 15 point deduction hurt most? Surely it is the fans of Leeds Utd. What have they done wrong? I think that this is a bad day for football in general and it only brings us closer to the day that a large number of smaller clubs will simply cease to exist as the tax man gets his revenge. Whilst it hurts the fans of the club, the main reason behind this, I would imagine, is to deter any other football clubs from doing this in the future. Of course you're right about the fans being the victims. What this does prove is that if you can't pay all your debts, you must make sure that HMRC is satisfed with the level of your payments. Every fan knows that in his or her own financial affairs and every business knows it too, but there will always be some businessmen who try to beat the system.
