Fyldelatic
Did he win??? Missed it again. Finished joint second on 28, 3 points behind the winner (I think). Matthew chose Alfred the Great and got 15 in his specialist round. Well done, Matthew.

Matthew chose Alfred the Great and got 15 in his specialist round. Well done, Matthew. He was second outright on the number of passes. Well done indeed! The winner from "Lancashire" (perhaps ashamed of his town?) had a plumb in his mouth - I think he said he's going on to Senior Mastermind, University Challenge and then Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Smart arse!

Yard Dog
was told that Humphries said ...."As your from Manchester, why don't you support a more successful team?". Is this true?? Can we Sue??? Latics do have a bit of support in North Manchester....places likes Failsworth (where he's from), Middleton, New Moston and Moston. You also get quite a few United and City fans from these areas who will have Oldham as their second team and make a trip to Boundary Park (for the big games) every now and then. Yard Dog
Or make a trip to places like Goodison. I'm afraid I can't talk though...Goodison will be only my 3rd away trip of the season to date, which is the same number of times I've been to BP this season too. Yard Dog
What better time than now to resolve to go to BP more often? RESOLVE - 1. to come to a definite or earnest decision about; determine (to do something) Hmm... I have been thinking about buying a half-season ticket. I have been thinking about buying a half-season ticket. There will be more joy at BP over each person buying a half-season ticket than over all those buying tickets for Everton! Go on, make TTA day - you know it makes sense!!

BP1960
Failsworth is part of the Oldham Metropolitan Borough, so they are no longer Mancs! Doesn't Failsworth still have a Manchester postcode Diego, if so maybe thats why he said he was from Manchester ?
Diego_Sideburns
Doesn't Failsworth still have a Manchester postcode Diego, if so maybe thats why he said he was from Manchester ? I have a Derby postcode - Not only do I not live in Derby, I don't even live in the County of Derbyshire! Postcodes are to help with the sorting of mail, nothing to do with where people come from. His dad pays Council Tax to Oldham Council, so he lives in the Failsworth part of the Oldham Borough. You'll be telling me next that ManUre play in the City of Manchester. Nonsense, they play in Trafford Borough and pay business rates to that Council! Citeh play just inside the Manchester boundary - another few yards and they would be in Tameside. Oldham Council only actually covers part of Failsworth.
