tactically_naive
Bob, Don't know the Matsui brand specifically but.... Hopefully it will be a simple drag and drop jobby. In other words, connect the player to your PC (you should have received a cable of some sorts, or maybe it has a USB plug built into the player which you plug into a USB port). Once connected, go into Windows Explorer and you should see the player identified as an external hard disk drive which you can open-up in Explorer. Then, find where you store your MP3 tracks on your hard drive, highlight the ones you want on your MP3 player, right-click, pick Copy, and then right-click Paste in the folder for your MP3 player in Explorer. The MP3 data should then copy onto your MP3 player ready to be played as you wish. Edited April 11, 2007 by tactically_naive
Matt
I'm assuming that this Matsui model is a USB plug type MP3 player, and it doesn't use a cradle or a USB lead - anyway not to bother. If you've downloaded paid for music onto your PC from the internet, chances are they are WMA files (windows media audio files), and they'll have something called a DRM crypt/cypher. Windows Media DRM is a Digital Rights Management service for the Windows Media platform. It's designed to provide secure movement of audio and/or video content over the internet or network to a PC or other playback device in such a way that the distributor can control how that content is used - for example - it can't be copied as-is (for the record). If you're lucky and you've bought a MP3 player that comes bundled with software that will allow WMADRM files to be ported to your MP3 player - you should be okay. Otherwise you have the daunting task of burning the WMA's to DVD and ripping them back as MP3 files onto your PC.

Luke Becketts Anchor
Windows Media DRM is a Digital Rights Management service for the Windows Media platform. Of course, there are ways to remove it, so you can back up your legally purchased material. But they don't stay on the internet for too long....
