Will we drop the new golden boy tho

im guessing until the 6'3 CB is fully match fit its going to be Sefil and Wheater... Sefils reading of the game  is not great but he wasnt solely responsible for blackburns goals. They went direct on us in the 2nd half and if you watch the Highlights they targeted Alex Lavotti on more than one ocassion, im guessing due to height..

The whole team can certainly hold their heads up high on tuesday night , they did us all proud with that performance and if we take that performance into our league games we really have nothing to worry about ... just need to tighten up at the back going forward we looked good, alot of pace and energy.. alot of positives to take forward and i guess the longer the team are together and being coached well hopefully a promising season ahead...

Hold a one nil lead for best part of an hour, then concede two in last few minutes, naïve, poor play, bit of both? Whatever it is needs addressing, championship opposition or not.

Wheater and Egert or whatever his name is will help, trouble is they need to be on the field to do it.

I thought I read somewhere that Egert was doing some intense fitness work? Lets hope we see him on the field soon then because we are taking on water fast!!

Blackburn looked a different team when Dack came on we started defending deep  big gaps started appearing between Defence and attatck.. it Naturally happens as blackburn picked the pace up and pinned us back, its very hsrd to play against, and very hstd to play a higher line ,thats where a leader at the  back would have been ideal BUT again this isnt taking anything away from  Sefil and Alex Lavocitty at the heart of the defence.. they put their bodies on the line a few times, we just ran out of steam...

alot of positves to be taken out from last night.. look forward to bradford on saturday

  3. Thoroughly enjoyable Cup game ..Completely different performance to that which we witnessed on Saturday. Not many teams in this league will want to play against that Forward line of ours tonight..We broke with purpose and plenty of pace about us. Yes we do need a leader at the back and maybe if we had tonight the final scoreline might have been different. Not taking anything away from the 4 who played in defense tonight everyone out in a shift maybe tiredness got to them as mistakes leading up to two goals, but thsts what The coaching team are there for

If we can take what we witnessed tonight into the bradford game we wont be far off ..

Early impressions are that it feels like he is a defensively minded coach. My concern is that he is a bit of a Steve Robinson. Hopefully those impressions are incorrect.

Its alright being defensive minded  if he knows how to switch his play once in possession instead of meaningless amounts of possession deep in your half and very slow at changing tempo..

I wouldn't fancy us against Rovers at Ewood with last seasons squad, let alone what we have now, truth is, if we can keep the score respectable then little harm done but if we get totally annihilated, I don't see us getting anything from either Bradford or Exeter.

I was looking forward to this game tonight , but that was before reading this interview.. I struggle to see how  Benide would motivate you as a player never mind 17 of them sat in a changing room before the game and at half tome ., he comes across really negative.. but has he got reason to be negative knowing the circumstances he faces at the club.. Well i just hope we put a good show on tonight on a big pitch and that we keep  the score respectable and at least have a go at Blackburn and give us supporters something to sing about.

We were looking a shout for the playoffs last season until AL, who doesn’t care about the fans (sic), appointed a guy who the fans were crying out for and who single handedly ended our season.

This season...as it stands, we will be bottom half, I agree. Which would be very disappointing. But unlike most, I don’t think we are done for incomings. And we will be better off with Wheater and Egert on the pitch. Altho that does depend on Banide also. Jury is out on him and the season. Until 8-10 games have been played and the window shuts, we won’t know how things will pan out. So far, not so good. I’m not interested in excitedly predicting doom like we seem to have a lot doing lately.

2 games gone and 40+more to go, dont you think its abit early to be writing our season off ?

  7. Ticket bought for this game last week, Excited as i think a win for us is in the cards 😏

    Would agree with your selection.

Thought the second half on Saturday was crying out for Sylla's introduction. His forward drives may just have got us on the front foot and linked up with Azankpo who, I thougt, showed promise.

It's a terrible time for us to play anyone!

if we get stuffed at Blackburn i can see it having a negative effect on the players going into the Bradford game, i just hope we have a good go at them but struggling to see who will start up front with...

Well we had the first 3 minutes of that game and then and then.......

Vera actually had a good first10 minutes but then.......

It was a team of disconnected individuals who had no idea what anyone else was doing with a captain who didn't even know what he was doing himself.

Woods saved us from a drubbing and Hamer kept at it.

I can't see where our first point is coming from.  We need someone who can hold the ball in attack and someone who can make a tackle and keep the ball in midfield.

At Bradford on nice big open pitch..They havent started of to great so good time to play them

Felt sorry for Stott, Hamer and Mills as they care and work hard, it has to be demoralising for them at the club with teammates who either are not up to it or just don’t care.

Vera, my goodness, he was laughable, I thought he was going off after 20 mins when the coaching staff told Desire to warm up after Vera’s comedy header

And to be in a set up where instructions are being shouted onto the pitch in french you must feel like grabbing your stuff snd running as far away from the club as you posdibly can..

BUT, its not the football club getting the money its him...

Any income is going straight into his back pocket and Bills are left unpaid, ex employees taking him to court for unfair dismissals are going to cost him so thats where your hard earned money will be going..

The money from selling George wont last forever and we need to apply the pressure on him by staying away, we are in a bad way and until people open their eyes and see what he’s doing before we end up like Leyton Orient did..

ask yourself, Why did he buy us? What is the attraction in buying a club with debt? What are his motives? Are we being used for laundering purposes? Why does he not believe in paying bills, taxes and pension contributions? Why are the crowds dwindelling?

these are question that can only be answered by one man im afraid... Simon Corney told the fans he wanted to sell BUT was struggling to atrract the right investors.. i dont Believe Corney wanted to see the club in any financial harm he just ran out of money , i think his turning point the last big tax bill he paid off...But yes we do need answers as to where he intends to take the club etc etc.

ok... We have a problem here, where are all the potential inverstors into our club, The big snag with buying OAFC is  they get very little for their money just as Abdallah has found out..so a buyer will need at least 10 million to trigger a buy out and where are these wealthy business men / women who want to buy our club ?

Ok what is done is done, re the season tickets

It's about the statement,  basically what we are saying is that this guy is our life line and we must obey

I'd rather see us out of business and playing on clayton than feed this guy   I'd happily go back then

Thats a crazy thought.. 100 + years up in smoke all because of Al...A consortium of fans with money puttkng a bid forward to buy AL out.. that's the only way to get him to hand over the reigns..

I think we need to be patient with what is happening at the club.

AL is running the club his way and at the moment there no alternative. We've asked for a fans meeting after what happened Post Scholes, we were told to postpone the meeting until the summer. Summer is over and we're now into the new season. No meeting is on the agenda and I doubt one will happen. He is dragging his feet over club accounts and is unwilling to talk to the FLG regarding the North Stand (will be a nightmare in there for a night game if there's no lighting for the kiosk area)

Until an alternative to AL forms itself properly there's not much we can do. AL promises one thing and then does another, he's unlikely to change his approach on a protest, he doesn't care.

Has anyone got any money to buy AL and co out ?? just wondered..

I've said before, he's the only striker I've seen that's 6'2" stood up and 5'9" when he jumps. He has the very unusual knack of bending almost double at the waist when going for a header, thus reducing his height. It's a very strange way of trying to win a ball in the air.

yes ian Ormonroyd and Ian Olney were exactly the sane 🤣🤣
