First of all, hope everyone is well, haven’t been on here for a while, normally use twitter for latics stuff. Anyway, genuine question in line with the release of the Chesterfield tickets, as their fans seem to have fabricated a rivalry with us. Who are actually our rivals? I could probably name every other clubs arch rivals in the country except my own. Literally watched us for 30 years and genuinely don’t know what the answer is. For me, it’d be either Tranmere or Scunthorpe. What’s the general consensus?

Still miles better than any striker I’ve seen at our level. Chesterfield will piss that league next year.

He brought him up. I think everyone secretly loves him its weird how how football fans seem to criticise their most talented player. Pogba at United, ozil at Arsenal, MM at latics. And no, I’m not putting him in their bracket. Just observing. Lets not not turn this into another Maouche thread. I can change the pic if it causes offence.

I said that a lot of them were awful, not all 11. obviously he’s playing a decent level, he’s done well but I don’t rate the guy. theres an argument for surridge too as he’s playing at the same level. He wasn’t my cup of tea either though

Why because I don’t rate Lewis fucking grabban? yes my opinion of Kieron lee is tartnished by seeing him out in Stalybridge every other week but fair play to the lad, he’s a decent person and worked hard to get where’s hes got to. I don’t think many of the above are spectacular, mind, with the exception of tarky and Stephens. I like eardley a lot too, he’s just made some poor moves and been hampered by injury.

I thought grabban was awful. Still do. George overrated too, he’ll end up in league one, most likely at posh. not a massive fan of lee either but some Wednesday fans class him as there best signing in recent years. It’s all about opinions, hence the post.

It’s got a very non league feel about the place at the moment. On and off the pitch.

Hamer put a shift in but with no quality. Same for mills who was also direct but with no end product, keeper did ok. Apart from that everyone else was awful. Maouche, miss, Sefil and Vera attrotious...the new left back even worse. No hot food in the Joe Royle, just crisp chocolate and cans of carlsberg being served from a table. The club is on its arse!!!

Can I use my season ticket for the football league trophy? Not been to one of these games since Wrexham (I think) beat us in the area final (or semi final) years ago. Also, I sit in the Joe Royle so presume it will allows me to re-locate for wednesdays game?

Gone from a bottom 7 team to a top 7 team in the space of 24 hours. Get a goal scorer in and a half decent left back and we’ll piss this league!

Mouche divides opinions but if we’d have let him go and packed the squad full of work man like league two midfielders, come October , people would of been complaining we don’t have creativity or anyone with the ability to pick a pass. He may be paid more than some would like but we wouldn’t be able to attract an upgrade, certainly not a British one. im not too concerned about the captaincy...although I don’t get people suggesting someone who they’ve seen play twice (at most) given the armband.

He’s always fit...can’t guarantee the other two would be fit this season. plus, it makes sense to offer your best player a new contract.

Nice. I forgot about one size. Clint hill would be up there for me also but he impressed me more for tranmere before we signed him than when he actually turned out for us.

Apologies if I haven’t built up enough rep on here yet but following the bulls*** rumour about Danny mayor last week which briefly got me up for the new season, it got me thinking; whose the best 3 players you’ve seen in a latics shirt in the last 25 years? I’ll start the ball rolling with mine. 1) Wellens 2) Gregan 3) Kilkenny obviously they’ll be a debate about positions but we all know a good player when we see one.

Just a quickie before it all goes pair shaped today....long time reader, first time poster (kept failing the security checks). Agree with a lot of posts on here (especially kasunga - he’s may fave .he reflects my mood, lose one and we’re toss, win one and I’m on every forum working out the permutations fixtures etc). A few quick points from me, the league is absolutely wank so those saying we shouldn’t expect promotion are attention seeking for me, bunn playing for a nil nil at Yeovil- giving them the benefit of the double, Coz they were forth at the time (good point everyone said).
