  2. Cheers WFL87. Glad you're enjoying them. You've got until a week today to get up to date before we start again.....
  3. The BPAS! is back on Monday 26/07/21. We caught up with David Wheater as he shared his unfortunate experiences at Oldham in this candid and honest interview. As we prepare for another unpredictable season, we'll be bringing you all the big news, interviews and debate that you expect from Oldham's most straight talking and hard hitting podcast. Please help us do the work we do by visiting https://www.oafcpodcast.co.uk/, subscribing and looking in our online shop. 4. Correct. The owners took a loan on top of the grant. Looks like only us, Scunthorpe & Swindon (in League Two) took one or are yet to pay it back.
  5. Christine Seddon said last week, "The right way, has right of way...."
  6. Yes, we've had contact and Simon Brooke has agreed to appear on the podcast, however we are yet to agree a date with him.
  7. On Friday, I made an impassioned plea to fans, via video message, to join OASF and challenge it's board to start representing Oldham Athletic fans in an authentic manner, ahead of them freezing membership on Wednesday 30th June, prior to their AGM this summer. This week, we find out from Exeter City how effective and profitable a well run, fan owned trust and club can be followed by a frank conversation about the shortcomings of our own supporters trust and what we MUST do about it. It's time for the fans of Oldham Athletic to take back control of our trust and our football club. You can watch the video, read my blog piece on the issue and sign up as a member of OASF, by clicking here. 8. Now is time to swell it with numbers so we can drive the direction it goes in.....
  9. There are vacancies. They need filling. We need them filled with people who are prepared to challenge the status quo. Not more of the same.
  10. We're actively seeking people who could become new board members.....
  11. This is a BPAS initiative. We need change NOW. We need to unite behind an effective Trust. We've got to make it effective. Sign up now and let's change the face of our Trust for the better.
  12. The Spall was embroidered and much larger….
  13. My hostility is directed at OASF doing precisely the opposite of bringing fans together. They refuse to try and engage using the podcast in the way PTB do, they fail to acknowledge the petition and protest, they fail to comment on news in a timely and relevant fashion and, imo, are doing very little, if anything, to unite a divided fan base. I believe that we need a strong an effective supporters trust but on the evidence I have seen, we do not have one. I'm tired of hearing the same excuses and want to see new people, new energy and new ideas on the board. OASF are always welcome to come on and challenge my views. Open debate is healthy, hiding isn't. Christine showed us how important it is to deliver the message with passion and clarity. Am I trying to push buttons? Yes I am, because I want to see some passion from OUR trust. I want to see some fight and I believe that's exactly what a large proportion of the fans want. I'll hold my hands up if OASF can prove me wrong, but that's up to them to do. I'm all ears.
  14. Christine explains that the judge didn't need to appoint an administrator over the football club, as the Oyston's could have paid the money back from selling other assets. The judge did so because of the action of Blackpool's Trust, Independent Supports group and their campaign....
  15. Y'know, the other point to add is..... you're never going to find another club with EXACTLY the same set of circumstances as us...... but there are similarities and lessons to be learned in many places.... and we're doing all we can to uncover/expose those on the podcast. We have another Club/Trust interview lined up this week. We keep going!
  16. Yep, but isn't it funny how those Trust's that get busy, also get lucky......?
  17. Well, Christine would take issue with your point of view..... as she very eloquently explained in the interview. The choice is clear, sit back and do nothing OR do something to try to affect the outcome. I know which side we're backing on the podcast.
  18. We explored that in the interview, that the court case was something we don’t have…. However, as Christine pointed out, the judge needn’t have intervened in appointing an administrator over the football club in order for Mr. Belekon to receive his funds from Mr. Oyston. He did so precisely because of the action of Blackpool’s Trust, The Tangerine Knights (independent supporters group) and their boycott/campaign. In short, their fans did affect the outcome.
  19. It took five years of boycotting and a court case to finally get rid of the Oyston family at Blackpool, but by coming together under the guidance of an effective supporters trust, they did it. Christine Seddon was there throughout and she tells us how in this must hear interview. Please help us do the work we do by visiting www.oafcpodcast.co.uk, subscribing and looking in our online shop. 20. We'd be very happy to invite Abdallah or Mohamed on. We'd even be prepared to field an interpreter if they'd prefer..... I don't think they're particularly keen though.....
  21. OK, Mr Benham has not borrowed £90m. It's his own money he's put it in. He's a multi-multi-millionaire.
  22. We weren't saying he has. We were simply saying he has put £90m in..... because the Chair of Brentford's Trust and rep on the Brentford board, who was once editor in chief of ITN news, told us so. Have you listened to podcast episode?
