  1. It wasn't a criticism of anybody not attending, more of an observation the performance on Saturday was no different than the vast majority of home games this season, it would have been far more of a suprise if we had played well and steam rolled Kidderminster because we haven't done that once at BP this season and i include Aldershot because even that game we were clinging on at certain points.
  2. That just tells me you don't go much, because Saturday was no different than most home performances this season.
  3. Winning more than we are losing which is a very rare feat at this club, how do you figure something has gone wrong? He's been in the job 2 minutes and the almost certain 1 nil defeats for the last 5 years have turned into narrow wins. It might not be prime Barcelona, in fact it's not even prime Tranmere Rovers but it's progress
  4. In response to this only 2 of us are in my car on Saturday so anybody struggling to get there get in touch. Going from Oldham/ Shaw
  5. Norwood is on 6 the stats are wrong I thought the same the other week he was banned for his 5th booking when we played York
  6. Norwood has 4 cards https://fbref.com/en/squads/4a04a02b/Oldham-Athletic-Stats
  7. Great listen as always, the whole issue I have with Unsworth was addressed in 30 seconds on it.. "We don't have an identity" "Stick with a setup do it well and do it consistently" Will even take poor results if I thought for one second they were trying to stick to a plan and it's work in progress. I just can't see it sadly. Will also mention your comment on crowds. We are letting a fantastic opportunity slip through our fingers the crowds are the best since the early 90s but the casual fans will stop going with the dire football. At what point does that loss of revenue every game overtake the financial payoff for the manager?
  8. It's not 6 games in of Unsworths management it's a calendar year almost, most comments on here are about how we have not progressed from last year despite the full backing of the club and a whole pre-season to work with the squad, if anything based on the first 6 games we have gone backwards.
  9. I get that but equally, they had a clear-cut penalty in the first half and our keeper made one or two decent saves, Unsworth comes out with this all the time never ever does he seem to take into account the amount of chances the opposition has as well.
  10. Also mentioned Dom Pol contract offer is not on the same level of money he was on this year, I got the impression Winchester made be off he said he was in a comfort zone in Oldham and needed a rocket up his arse.
  11. Dont understand why he has made a fool out of Salford? He's appointed great coaching staff, he is looking to recruit top players he has made a perfectly sensible name change decision and anyone that upsets the RFL is good for me the most incompetent bunch of tools that have run any sport in this country. I know a couple of Salford fans and he seems to be liked by the majority there. Dont know a lot about his wealth but if has got the money and the right ideas he sounds like a good fit.
  12. Thanks Lags i will give it a go and you are right they probably dont but would much rather be direct with my concerns than putting it on here.
  13. very good i could make a few more up as well
  14. Does anybody know whether the directors at the club have email accounts where they can be contacted the only one i can find on the website is the enquiries account. Thanks
  15. Can i put a suggestion forward then Barry keep the offer but as a family ticket therefore you have details of an adult who is responsible for the children in the ground it then doesn't punish the many kids in the chaddy and the main stand and the vast majority in the rocky road end who do behave and have enjoyed coming to the football
  16. funny that because i started watching latics in the 80's and the reason i became hooked and i know a awful lot of others did was because they handed out free tickets for two seasons to all the local schools
  17. i agree with a lot you have said there but it backs my point with dealing with the troublemakers and not punishing everyone i congratulated the club on a really generous offer with the £10 season ticket but to keep these supporters they really need to sustain it for a couple of years at least. A one season wonder doesn't work especially with as bad a season we have had and i really feel they are using the incidents as a excuse to dump the deal
  18. oh well a small minority of fans in the rocky road causing trouble as given the board a perfect excuse to cancel a offer for kids as others said it appears a decision had already been made anyway..shame my daughter was enjoying going with her friends with tickets i had bought she did not invade the pitch but i can't afford to pay much more for two tickets, shame for my son's teammates who have got more into latics this year but won't probably be able to go next year they did not invade the pitch, shame for all the local junior football teams who had given their kids season tickets who won't be able to afford that next year i bet the majority of them did not invade the pitch but on the bright side the club think they have got rid of the problem so will no doubt be delighted with their decision even though i guarantee you next season just like the previous 30 years of watching Latics there will be a pitch invasions at the last game.
  19. Where's my Knee Jerk Reaction?? Grown adults fighting at Bury, some of the foul mouthed abuse aimed at players and managers this season, some very near to the knuckle chanting all season all these done by grown men older than me and i am 41 the club has done nothing to deal with that issue apart from send a pointless mobile number out at one game a few weeks ago all of this far worse than encroachment onto a playing field by a bunch of kids. They should deal with serious issues directly coaches have been attacked on that car park a number of times this season and the club have done what have a guess nothing...I hate with a passion everyone being tarred with the same brush every football supporter in the country was treated like a hooligan in the 80's and 90's because of a minority and the Barry states the club are looking at the £10 season ticket because of this incident..Bollocks it's a joke but i fully expect they will use it as a reason to withdraw it and therefore lose another generation of supporters in the town
  20. That's it Barry you and the board go for the knee jerk reaction why don't you ban all kids from going to the game and ban all supporters from enjoying themselves (although they appear to have been trying that all year to be honest) i don't condone any of it especially the attacking of the coach but rather than deal with the problem directly (maybe take a look at your stewarding?????) you will look at removing the one decent initiative the club has come up with in years doesn't surprise me one bit to be honest and would just be typical of the way this stagnating is club is managed. Dont patronise us with "other than that excellent support" the crowd was like a morgue all day until the goal and although far too over exuberant at least it showed a passion from them. There wont be a club in the football league that wont have some form of pitch invasion at the end of the season and if the old farts at the football league want to throw the book at every club then they are as deluded as this board in reconsidering the season ticket deal..
  21. Anyone know how the old fella is that took a tumble coming out of the ground? He hit the ground with a whack i know the police were with him as we left.
