  1. Blue & Red home kit for me, but I'm probably in the minority. White for away Black for 3rd
  2. Pisses me off that some think we have a god given right to play like prime Brazil. We've been shit for 20 years, but cos it's not Shez or Ritchie, then Unsworth (or whoever it is) gets a load of grief, simply because their face doesn't fit. Agree that Top 7 is a minimum, and would show progress (progress we were already starting to see back end of last season) and by Unsworth's own admissions, it's something he should really be achieving.
  3. Chesterfield beaten 2-0 by Bristol Rovers and it could have been a lot more but for their keeper having a blinder. I suppose Chesterfield might as well pack it in now and get rid of Paul Cook whilst their at it?
  4. Same budget as last year? Rothwell's Out!!
  5. Very dubious account that only has a couple of tweets, but seen as though any form of links to players seem to have gone cold, I'll post it.
  6. Good result = the twitter mob have to find something to moan about. Tonight it appears to be Willoughby not starting pre season games therefore must be fed up.
  7. Without wanting to derail the thread... I'm not sure how prepared the pitch will be. They are relying on goodwill, the staff haven't been paid for 4 months. Be surprised if they have any petrol for the mowers.
  8. That was my main gripe with him. Especially as he used to drop so deep to pick the ball up from the defenders every single time. It got the the point where it felt like we weren't allowed to attack unless he'd touched the ball first. Wouldn't necessarily be against him as a squad player but he certainly isn't the creative midfielder some seem to think he is.
  9. Wouldn't be surprised to see us join something like that in the future because he did genuinely sound like a big fan of the 'B' team to be fair. The hope has got to be that more scholars will make the grade in the future which will pad out the B team a bit.
  10. Quick scan of their forum suggests they expect Norwood to be first choice along with Watters.
  11. Doesn't sound like it was ever as close as some were making out, although we did make him "an unbelievable offer". Hopefully, if we've got the money to chuck an unbelievable offer out to the right player, there still maybe a marquee signing to come!
  12. at least that one's put to bed (although it was earlier by Unsworth on the podcast)
  13. Enjoyed that! He comes across as a good bloke Unsworth, and I really hope he succeeds. By his own admission on that pod, he has everything he needs. Good foundations, the best CEO, good facilities, a good budget and good players. He has to have a good season, simple as that.
  14. Bit baffled as to why Gardner gets better treatment than Nuttall?
  15. 1 year deal after being on trial at a few different clubs. He'll probably say it's worked out how he wanted it to but I'm not so sure. Good luck to him either way!
  16. Pep Guardiola's fault. He might have "changed football" at the highest level, but people (not just our fans) watch his team on sky play all the tippy tappy bollocks and expect lower league plodders to be able to do it.
  17. Wouldn't give me much, other than he wanted to come back near his family (Bolton) and house he bought when he played for City. He'd been offered around a few clubs and as of this morning, his mum didn't know which he'd chosen to join. (I think she did know just didn't want to tell me)
  18. Dogdale sign 30odd year old local, ex-donny midfielder who've legs have gone. No, not Dan Gardner, Adam Clayton! Not a bad signing for them on paper to be fair.
