    I watched Couto tonight he's still only 19yo and one I'd retain. Because he's at an NPL club it doesn't mean that's his level. I don't care what league they play in its potential I look for and IMO he has it.

    Couto had more attempts at goal (one hitting the crossbar and another cleared off the line) than Kitching has had all season- and defended well too. Some of his crosses were excellent. He should be given another season IMO. I know it was against Avro, but it was the ability and performance I looked at.

    If I hadn't seen Couto before I'd say he was a good 19yo prospect. On that basis I'd retain him.

    Benny Couto best player on the field, but still light weight. I wouldn't write him off though. Ashton number 10 Cusani about 6ft 5" playing wide right is strange, but although lacking pace looks decent. 0-0 half time, a bit like watching Latics.

    Avro v Ashton United cup final at BP tonight 7:45 Will probably be the best match seen this season and maybe some better players. Benny Couto should be playing for Ashton.

    Unfortunately, I was told DU preferred experience, even though I know ST liked the more dynamic players.

    Just wondering, is the assistant manager on a 3 year contract too?

    I'd like to see him play for the first though, even if its the last game of the season. It's no gamble though IMO he's a terrific prospect. Having said that he'd probably get no service from the present crop.

    I'd keep him, we said this about Callum Whelan and he filled out and ran the show against us at BP.

    We are forgetting during that good run most home performances were abysmal. That was the real problem not addressed by MM.
