  1. Yikes-not expecting a free flowing game then. Do you think the team will need to take a review of a referee like this into account tactically?
  2. Thanks for the info but good news, tickets arrived today! Leaving Glasgow at 8, get to hotel around midday, leave car there, have a drink and get train to Rock Ferry-think it's been at least 3 years since I saw a game. Looking forward to it-hoping for a great atmosphere, plenty of singing and of course a much needed dazzling performance from the boys in blue (or raspberry).
  3. I was wondering if I would get the 'please book with playershare' treatment! Thanks O4U but bringing the car down this time. Have registered for future purchases though!
  4. Thanks for the info, although wish I'd waited a couple mins longer as I went on fishal and couldn't find that info, only that tickets had to be purchased before 3pm on Friday. So before checking back here I ordered them to post out. Praying they arrive by Friday! If they don't then I'll just buy another two on the day mind! http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20140221-tranmere-ticket-news-1373906.aspx
  5. Thinking of coming down from Glasgow for this-make a weekend of it. Haven't been to a game for a long time-can anyone help me with ticket info? I assume can pay on gate-don't need tickets in advance?
  6. Really good. I hadn't realised how many shops there were on it! Perhaps we could ask every united fan we know to buy their new shirt through it too! Unfortunate random item you could buy: http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/3825/k592.jpg
  7. Exactly. If he hadn't scored the crucial goals he did over the last few months he may have been released; that would have been him leaving for free. As it turns out he did score some crucial goals which actually resulted in the club earning a significant amount of money- the money gained for his FA cup goals alone would be much more than the amount we would have expected to sell him for anyway. Not to mention the money the club gets for staying in League One that his goals contributed to. All the best Matt, thanks for the memories!
  8. Hmmm, thinking that it is a little out of date, what with Rangers still listed as SCP. Also no mention of Scottish football league teams. Perhaps it's making a judgement on what would be worthwhile to go and see!

  10. I think that's correct for the capital one cup, however I'm sure that for the FA Cup, the runners up will qualify for Europa. I imagine that if both finalists are Champions League qualifiers, that then the Europa place will go to PL rather than a semi finalist. Don't know for definite mind.
  11. Not me either! Can't be many Scotland based Oldham fans surely!
  12. Again, not a chant as such, but Norwich away, when we lost 2-0 around Christmas time a couple of years back. Great atmosphere from us, lots of balloons. Unfortunately Norwich completely outplayed us, which left us to celebrate any shots we had as goals! That was a hilarious afternoon. Think there was a funny Delia chant that day too...
  13. An Awful tackle, although I love the fact that Muscat points to the ball after the tackle! Unless he was pointing to a part of his opponents body: "Hey, look where his knee landed!"
  14. Rumack: You'd better tell the Captain we've got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital. Elaine Dickinson: A hospital? What is it? Rumack: It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.
  15. Hi, I know there are many on OWTB who like The Smiths. (I'm actually not one of them!) Anyway for those who do I thought you might like to know, if you don't already that Radio 1 will be playing out 'The Queen is Dead' album in full tonight on Zane Lowe's show. The show starts at 7 but I think the album isn't played till 8 or 9. Check out this link: Masterpieces
  16. Have to say that I thought he'd taken the freekick. When Torres got to the ball my first thought was that it was a really weak pass! It was only when they all started putting their hands up to stop the game that it occurred to me that perhaps he was flicking it back for the keeper to take! Turner really should have just walked over the ball and left it for the keeper. His mistake in my eyes.
  17. May I take credit for this victory please? Sitting by myself in my flat in Glasgow (having had a couple of beers) we were one nil down with about 75 minutes played. Feeling pretty crap I decided to start singing Oh When the Blues to perk me up - suddenly it was 1-1, so I carried on with more fervour and it became 2-1!!!
  18. WTF happened? Did we make a deal that if we were winning at half time, we'd play the rest of the match with boot laces tied together or something?!
  19. Thanks Rocky. I knew it was a friendly but assumed that they'd still have to stick to an age limit. Every day's a school day!
  20. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere and for my ignorance - but since the announcement of Gregan playing for the youth team tonight, I've not been able to understand how? Is there not an age limit for a youth team!!? Anyway, sounds like it was a good result based on the recent quality of opposition in comparison. Here's hoping Sean is able to get the fitness he needs to be our inspirational on the pitch captain! Might require a few bench warming appearances me thinks! When do people think we'll see him start a league/cup game?
