  1. Yep skivving office monkey here too. I sit next to a Blackburn Rovers fan (only to be expected as I work in Blackburn). The big boss of the whole caboodle is a dirty Leeds fan There is also a Huddersfield fan, a Bolton fan and a Burnley fan in the building.
  2. Thanks for that Leeslover! I didn't mind too much except that they were on the other side of the road from Ewood Park! You'd have thought that they'd have found something better to rag on than my car!!
  3. I was driving my car to work this morning in Blackburn and had to go past a lovely barrage of abuse from some already sloshed 'Gers fans because my car is roughly the same green colour as Celtic . Never before have I prayed so hard to any deity going that the lights wouldn't change. Did have a laugh when one of them fell backwards off the wall they were sitting on
  4. There's your answer folks! Give the drum back to the Owl. He can race around the ground accompanying the different singing sections (in time and with rhythm of course). Then when the away fans start singing he can rush over there and bang it like <where's the censored smiley> to drown them out! Problem solved
  5. It was great atmosphere and a great day. My sister used to work for the club and knew Ernie personally. And as she said, you'd be having a laugh at the players and having a great time, then suddenly you'd remember why you where here and it brought a lump to your throat! I'm glad I went and even gladder (is so a word) that so much was raised for such a good cause!
  6. I only knew that a seventh had gone in when my daughter asked ¨Why is that man kicking the goalpost Mummy?¨ I'm just glad she can't lip read!
  7. I thought the game was great, really enjoyed watching it. However I'm now relegated to playing chauffaer to my hubby who pulled his hamstring! That aside it was a cracking night out and I hope the fans team appreciated the songs for you.
  8. I can't renew my season ticket this year as our babysitters have just become even more unreliable than usual! I'll just have to pay on the day as and when I can get to the matches.
  9. I thought it was Dad's Army? 'They don't like it up 'em!'
  10. Actually I am well-read and literate. I also agree with you that your replies are, on average, no longer than any others. However, having to read ten of your replies in a row all of which seem to say the same thing is tedious. That thing being that you are right and everyone else is rose tinted blinker wearing happy clapping sheep without you having any inclination to even have a peep at the other side of the arguement. Yes we aren't the most fantastic team around and no, we don't have an open pursed backer, but a little optimism and hope is not a bad thing.
  11. There will be pictures won't there? Because I'm really curious as to what you'll be!!
  12. Actually it is getting a bit repetative and hard to read. This thread is beginning to become like an arguement with a woman. Five words to her ninety-five - rinse and repeat - and all ninety five words the same!
  13. I do apologise. I must have misinterepted the intentions of other messages on the MB! I'll try not to be such a bad girl in future.
  14. Is there a male equivalent of the pie girl for the ladies or would we have to get jiggy with her too?
  15. I'm not in it, but my OH is. He's been getting his fitness up since the last fans fixture and is desperate to win this one!! He's been trying to fit in a bit of football training so he can kick the ball in a fairly straight line too. I'm looking forward to it too. It was fun to watch last year. I do think Chaddy should play as Chaddy though
  16. Surely that must be added as a song :-) This was only my third away match. Definately my favourite so far
  17. I'll have to try to remember me camera! So what are the conditions then? You have to be drunk with your clothes off?
  18. I'd just like to start off by saying that I'm really new to all this. It's my first season at 'Latics. No one seems to sing much where we are in the main stand, but I love joining in with the songs. Unfortunately I don't know any of the words or the tunes and so if no on else is singing around me I can't join in. Could this be part of the problem that some people simply don't sing 'cos they don't know the tunes/words? I realise this isn't quite as positive as may be you'd like, but it may possibly be a stumbling block that no one has considered.
  19. Name? Lindsay Horricks Location? North West How Long Supporting the Tics? 4 months Best away match you've been to? Huddersfield All Time Greatest Player? Pass Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? Tranmere
