Why can't all official statements that come from the club be like this? Honestly Simon (and I've never met the bloke) being our fans representative is probably one of the few positives that are happening at our club at the moment. For someone to take as much time for free to help Latics' future is highly appreciated. When he spoke on gmr he sounded a lot more trustworthy and a lot less arrogant than Neil Joy. Keep up the good work and don't let us miserable bastards grind you down.

Cornell cannot start against Millwall, even the stats don't help his cause against Coleman: Cornell goals conceeded per game: 1.70 compared to Colemans 1.18. Cornell clean sheets 1 in 17 compared to Colemans 4 in 11. Games lost with Cornell in net: 8 compared to Colemans 3. Error after error is costing us points.

Whilst I agree that Dunn should leave, once again the root of all these problems is Corney & Co. The last 12 months supporting this club has been a joke. Until the jokers at the top leave, we'll be served with this cheap option dross until we eventually end up in League 2 and beyond. Oldham's record since Holden came back to be a coach - 41 games, 9 wins 13 draws and 19 losses meaning a win percentage of 22%. Far from solely being his fault but I think if i were him i'd try and get another gig with another club as his name is quickly being dragged through the mud if he wants to get a respected career as a coach / manager.

Too many changes. The key to success in the last 10 games of last season and the first 20 in this was a settled team. Recently LJ has tinkered with line ups / formations and loanees. Changes need to be made and once again I was baffled by his selections today. Rachubka for Kenny Elokobi for Kusunga (a leader in a settled team) Brown for B. Wilson Winchester for Dieng / Johnson Jabo for Poleon Not that this will guarantee us playing well but it was a set up that was working and got us into the play offs with teams fearing us.

Always tough pre season but this year there are many options available and I doubt anyone will get the starting XI correct. I just hope Johnson knows his ideal 11 as the last 10 games of last season proved that a settled team leads to promotion form. My shout would be: GK: Rachubka CB's: Wilson --- Elokobi --- WIlson RB / Attacking option if required: Brown LB / Attacking option if required: Mills Mid: Jones, Kelly, Forte (switch positions as per strengths etc) Att: Philliskirk & JCH Bench: Coleman Lockwood Kusunga Dayton Winchester Gros

I think a lot of people were going anyway with it being a top away day The away end holds 1700 so I think we'll be close to selling out and creating a top atmosphere. If the players don't respond to our support and the fact that it's the biggest game of the season then there's no hope for us.

I don't think we're suggesting that we won't win against either PNE or Rov'rum, it's just looking at the stats and seeing how hard it will be to beat them. Both are in incredible form, they both tend to win against lower league teams and we couldn't win against a very poor Tranmere side. I just hope LJ can get the lads motivated for these games and just say to them that there's zero pressure on us. We did Peterborough and Swindon at home and should have beaten Orient when they were in amazing form. It'll be tough.

Our first: Great build up play from Mellor and Harkins, Wes got lucky with the ball's swerve and poor goalkeeping but its the classic 'if you don't buy the ticket' scenario. This is something I find we struggle to do, edge of the area cheeky shots testing the GK constantly throughout the game. Their first: Mellor at LB was easy pickings for Lowe but ultimately Latics were unlucky and there's not much you could have done defensively. Our second: Best OG ever? Credit to Lockwood for that wonderful ball through and Charlie Mac please watch the game! Their second: No left back in position meaning an easy cross but why Brown (who i thought played well for the most part) and Lockwood didn't man mark Lowe I don't know... Not the greatest point and we should have won quite easily but hey these things happen! Roll on PNE.
