  1. Led to believe just one more week for Ward and Dickinson to prove their fitness before they’ll be ready / considered for a return.
  2. Go through the main entrance, tell them you’re friends of the sponsor and help yourself to hospitality - just like someone did on Saturday.
  3. If both of our recent shadow boxers, McGahey and Hope contribute to another positive result on Tuesday night then I might just post something really positive about them both on here. Hope was magnificent at Spotland on Saturday and McGahey was solid allowing the midfield four to maraud forward in support of Norwood. The front five contributed four goals between them, with only Lundstam missing out and he nearly made it a knap hand himself but he should really have just put Norwood in. Between Mellon and Muzza, the shape and personnel they chose really did work out on Saturday, so I’m really confident that they can keep the momentum going into Tuesday and beyond.
  4. McGahey is ex Dale, and now he’s a midfield mudlark. Will he start?
  5. To help out, Nicky Adams is coaching the first team today.
  6. It’s a box ticking exercise to cover what the NL would expect. Realistically, it’s like saying “please keep off the pitch” when you’re just about to win the two legged play-off semi at home.
  7. Stand out for me is the total lack of numbers who so far this season have 90+ minutes of fitness in their legs for Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday fixtures…. Drive from central midfield, we have Gardner and Lundstram who so far have managed just 2 full games between them. Out wide, we have Green and Dickenson who often look goosed by half time yet the bench is usually geared towards freshening up the forwards when they themselves seem to tire after an hour. Ward is injured, Tollitt and Hope are bit part players and that’s about it, our squad depth is therefore unbalanced and lacking strength in key areas. If you want a striker to come off the bench and make an impact on the game, I would choose Fondop 100% of the time over Nuttall.
  8. So whilst Eyresy contemplates his answer to his latest question, just 16 tickets now remain in block B.
  9. Half of block B were released to us late last week. Currently 38 available via AFC Fylde online.
  10. Is Mick Rathbone still with us, with Rhino and Ebbrell the only casualties? Apologies if I’ve missed it.
  11. That first 10 minutes was an adrenaline fuelled frustration busting message to Rhino. Hopefully, he was sat at home watching on his fraud stick, hoping we would get absolutely stuffed.
  12. We’ll get 10k there on Saturday following our 5-0 win tomorrow night.
  13. 1. Pete Wild 2. Kevin Maher 3. Mike Williamson 4. Darrell Clarke 5. The Cowleys’ I’ve not picked these guys in any order of preference, but they have been finalised as my 5 first choices, duly considered with a smile, before, during and after a lovely Sunday roast.
  14. Oldham Times - 5th September Asked whether making further signings was an option, Unsworth said: "Absolutely. There'll be players leaving - at least three or four leaving - and hopefully a couple more coming in." Of the time frame anticipated on the transfer movement, the Latics boss added: "Maybe (this) week, but it might be the week after." This week is the week after.
  15. Rhino simply conceded his own tactical ineptitude at 2pm today by naming 4 strikers as subs. No thought process required there, other than to use a couple of them to give us some fresh legs up top as the game wore on. On such a hot day, starting Norwood up top on his own was naive and amateurish. Maybe Hope and, or Tollitt could have offered us something different but it would seem that he took the easy way out because he’s simply not tactically savvy enough to make these strategic calls. As a result of this, only 2 subs were made and it ended up looking like we were playing a 4-2-4. Totally bizarre IMO.
  16. Any chance of another Fans Forum? We are due one aren’t we? It was March….then June….so September perhaps? A winning machine we are not! Over to you Darren.
  17. With it being an early KO, does anyone know if we stayed over near Chesterfield last night or whether we travel down this morning?
  18. If you fancy getting it right, then why hasn’t anyone shaped the side around Nuttall, Hobson, Hogan, and Raglan all starting? Aren’t these already nailed on?
  19. Until Raglan offered himself to the club, Rhino had his two centre halves set in stone, with Sutton as backup. We would have setup 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 depending on the opposition because he more or less said so at the fans forum and even alluded to the possibility that Sutton could play full back. Signing Raglan has changed the whole dynamic of his defensive mindset because, it would seem that he hasn’t got the bottle to bench one. Why does he feel the need to play the 3……in a 5? There’s not one player in our squad who should expect to have the god given right to start. Rhino needs to hammer that home. Indeed, Raglan is a great signing and our squad depth is significantly improved. We crave for depth in our squad but prefer quality over quantity. We will have that once a RB is added. That should allow for a starting 11 who are all specialists in the positions they play along with a strong bench which can offer like for like replacements when necessary. That said, we should never ever see the words ‘square pegs’ and ‘round holes’ mentioned again!
