I've had a season ticket for 35 years and will be renewing but its fair to say that it is more in hope than expectation. I have no faith that Mellon will become the manager who leads us back to the EFL. There needs to be a lot of manoeuvering and a number of shrewd acquisitions to start with a squad that meets Mellon's "I know what good looks like" mantra. My fear is that the financial restrictions for next season will not allow Mellon to start with the players he wants and he has shown that he cannot sufficiently motivate the standard of footballer he will have to work with.

I have decide, barring a mathematical miracle, that my next game will be our first game of next season. Tamworth away, live on BT- should be a good turnout too

Keep: Hudson, Hogan, Raglan, Lundstram, Reid and Conlon. Lose the rest.

I think that the pitch has lasted well this season. However, it needs a lot more bedding in to happen ahead of next season. I notice that the ball still bobbles along the surface (when we play it on the ground) in comparison to the better pitches. Hopefully a good close season will help…
