  1. Following the D&R performance, I too lost my enthusiasm for Latics… so much so that I cancelled my trip up for the Fylde game. I presume it will be available to watch on National League TV so at least I’ll avoid a 400 mile round trip
  2. If the team cuts out the poor attitude and basic mistakes and just plays football then the fans will back them - that's all we ask.
  3. I know it’s looking highly unlikely that we will be involved, but the Playoff Final has been moved to Sunday May 5 due to Aslef strikes on the 4th
  4. Brabin is also Sporting Director at TNS - I wonder if there are one or two gems he could entice to the heady heights of the National League?
  5. Just got mine and my bro got his so only 998 left…
  6. I'm not sure that we 'have to play' these players in the positions though....Sachdev was signed as a right back and is fit for example.
  7. Lots of tickets - on sale tomorrow at 10:00am - standing or seated (uncovered) - initially to season ticket holders https://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/2024/march/25032024-oxford-a-tickets/
  8. Poor lambs… so just cut out the crap play then. We’ll agree to disagree I suppose.
  9. It’s NOT about ‘running through brick walls’ fer chrissakes… it’s about doing the simple things in the pitch that they spectacularly fail to do… time and time again
  10. And therein lies the problem… you say that the squad has limited ability - but we saw the opposite against Chesterfield just over a week ago. Then they put in performances like yesterday and the horror show at Aldershot and it’s baffling. You also mention ‘limited fight’ and you say get behind them… which is exactly what the 480 Latics fans did at D&R. But slowly and surely the on pitch performance just drained the life and enthusiasm out of the fans - it’s hard to get behind the team of ‘limited fight’ as you put it - and when a team fails with even the footballing basics, is it any wonder that fans get frustrated and angry? It’s a two way street and the reception from the fans at full time was justified.
  11. What are you going on about? If you were there today then surely you saw what I saw - namely another shocking performance where too many individuals simply do not display the most basic skills: we could not trap the ball, hold on to the ball, pass to a team mate - it was back to aimless lumping the ball forward with no skill or thought. Even average footballers should be able to do the simple things. Once again they let the fans and themselves down - and they deserved the derision they got as they walked off. I am disappointed and angry at another woeful display - this dross is being served up far too often and I am heartily sick of it. Mellon looks at a loss as to why and his post match excuses are wearing thin.
  12. Tongue in cheek I know …. but the last thing he won was five years ago and I’m not convinced he knows what to do anymore
  13. I cannot think of a single outfield player who played well today. A performance that was the polar opposite of how we played last week - the quality on the pitch was dreadful. And yet we could have won it at the death. I cannot take much more of this crapball - I walk away from games frustrated and angry. I’m thoroughly, thoroughly pissed off… again
  14. The three blocks hold 450 in total - if we reach that figure it will be loud 370 currently sold…
  15. Apart from the following: Three decent saves to keep it to 0-1 vs Solihull at home before they got their second on 94 minutes. A stunning save at Rochdale late on to prevent them equalising. Beating Hartlepool 2-0. Hudson made two great saves late on and got MotM Stunning save by Hudson to preserve parity when 0-0 against Southend. and there have been others
