  1. I'd settle for going back a few days and deciding not to bother last Saturday
  2. And as I said earlier that political system explains the long running shitshow
  3. It isn't the majority, it's the most. Big difference
  4. And that's why our political system has descended into chaos
  5. It's very unlikely that I'll see another game this season for one reason or another. So looks like it I'll go through 23/24 without actually seeing us win.
  6. Thankfully it's not really an option for me to get to games regularly...
  7. That would be true of me. I left a few minutes early and I've done that three times since I first went in 1966. To be fair I had to stay to the end with my Dad in those early years.
  8. I'm almost always out on a Tuesday. Which is generally a relief.
  9. And I'll stick with my general bewilderment at why we have to set up differently home and away.
  10. It's absolutely inconceivable that in all the years under Joe we didn't throw in some absolute stinkers. It wasn't all about 89-91
  11. Anyone worked out what the effect on the table would be if Dale go pop?
  12. In 57 years that was the third time I have left a game early. Not quite that early...
  13. Funnily enough his shorts always look too tight. He's either got the thighs of Fatima Whitbread or he's picked up the wrong pair
  14. A third of the way into a 230 mile drive home. I can't be bothered to read the comments but I'm sure I'll agree with the vast majority of them.
  15. I'm sitting here fantasising about the atmosphere if we actually stuff them
  16. Can't really imagine who would be there to see us beat Liverpool but decide not to bother going t see Everton in the next round. Oh well, ancient history. Tomorrow's more important now.
  17. Still very odd that we had 800 less against Everton after beating Liverpool
  18. Sky Sports says attendance was 9,473. I recall at the time being rather surprised. V Liverpool, given as 10,295. V City , 2005 - 13.171. V Grimsby 2004, 13,007
  19. I've got a memory that Everton didn't sell out, although the capacity may have been higher. My fault; I watched it in a hotel bar in Kildare.
  20. I reckon that was bollocks. I believe he was on trial and we were interested but before we'd decided whether to make an offer he'd gone in trial to Willem II where his best mate was and he signed for them.
