  1. Surprise surprise it’s Sylla ere.. Could be a lorra lorra fun. Welcome to BP
  2. Truly awful. Can somebody do a headcount as they appear to have more men than us. Or just more will to win.
  3. May not be relevant here, but this song is definitely dedicated to another Latins legend: (London Grammer - sights after 55 seconds) Listened many times and it is definitely worshipping our 6 goal hero
  4. 4 seat reservations cancelled after 30 years of holding a ST but enough is enough. I await Corneys bleating about whether the town deserves a club. The £1100 is a significant outlay for me personally, but I cannot continue to support this regime which has effectively killed any positivity created last week. The appointment of a man with such low standing within football baffles me, especially as the voice of experience will be provided by DH. Corney will back his men which is admirable, but I cannot. Whether you agree with his politics is a side issue, what is more of a concern is that due diligence should have identified the potential of this appointment to divide the fanbase and give cause for people to walk away in numbers, especially at a time that should have heralded a new dawn. The club officials are either blind, arrogant or simply do not care. I hope he is a success, but a club that used to be regarded as a family club and at the heart of the community cannot of become more distant. It is clear that the business side of the club is to take precedent for the future. On that basis you can no longer loyally continue to throw good money away. I fully expect the key players to leave. How does a man who commands the response, "Who?" retain and attract quality players.
  5. Why refer to re - building a squad that has a core already contracted and performed well until the circus period. This can only be preparation for a fire sale.what should have been the foundation to build success has been blown apart. It will be interesting to know how many reserved tickets will now be purchased.
  6. This guy is not qualified enough to be considered a rookie. 4 months at Sunderland, and less than three years with Yorks kids. He has no relevant experience at first team level, and only limited experience of league football. This is a shocker and I shall be withholding my £1100. I always believed Corney had the best interests of the club in mind, but this completely changes my view.
  7. With an underwhelming CV. He must be phenomenal at interview. 5 months at Sunderland starting in Jan, after less than 3 years in youth development at the footballing giant of York. The new board members with PR experience are definitely going to earn their corn selling this to the dwindling masses.
  8. Connor Brown for me too. Made some great runs and showed passion and commitment. The game was OK at best. Tactics awful with defensive set up against 10 men. Still looks like they will have time to perfect the negative football next season.
  9. The final nail in the coffin. How bad must the candidates have been if he stood out. If ever there was a white flag of ambition, Corney is waving it.
  10. As a fan of our club all you have is hope. This appointment if true is concerning. My ST renewals will cost £1100. A decision governed by the heart not the head. For the first time in 25 years I may have to listen to head. If rumours of the playing assets being stripped again and an underwhelming appointment imminent is the best I can hope for 56 points and survival? With the new stand should be optimism. This is a masterclass on how to remove the gloss. As usual we will back whoever comes in. Personally I will now not be taking my ST option at this stage, but will look and see what the summer brings. If the team is stripped again I cannot see myself doing anything more than picking my games.
  11. Because the alternative is that we have bought a lemon and made him captain
  12. Brown in. Not his best game today, but at least he showed forward intent. He was a key part of a solid defence that now looks like a colander. He is young and improved dramatically last term. When LJ eventually decides on a system and a plan, rather than the current crammed midfield and no outlet tactic, we may see the best out of either player but at the moment and based on the early showing its Connor for me.
  13. What happened to the team that looked competitive against Newcastle? Until George can learn we play in blue and he can curtail his HOOFING he should not be anyway near the team - dreadful today some have called him a leader, can't see it myself. Has he been introduced to James Wilson yet as they were absolute strangers. Liam Kelly cannot be fit, he surely cannot be as dire as his first three appearances would suggest. Winchester should come into the centre with James Casper Dayton on the right. The only forward intent and strength on the ball came from Winchester supported in part from Jones. On current showing Kelly cannot justify his place. Winchester is the only real positive from todays abject showing, some may be excused as being played out of position but the way we surrendered is unpalatable. The assembled team looks as poor as I can remember and has relegation fodder stamped all over it. Fortunately its early days but LJ needs to sort this out quickly or prey there are four worse teams in the division. We were told that the additions would add quality. We looked reasonable first half, but when Slade changed things and stifled Forte we had no response other than a long punt. We had no plan B and the football deteriorated to Sunday league standard. Awful, truly awful.
  14. George Elokobi Footballer or comic genius. We play in blue George HOOOOF Liam Kelly the living embodiment of the danger of "The old boys club" - Woeful today
  15. Can anybody explain the point in narrowing the pitch? I am sure there is a good reason and explains our lack of wingers. Last night when we had possession we did a lot of short passes but never seemed likely to build anything. The result tended to be- pass pass pass loose it, or pass pass diagonal hoof loose it. There never seemed to be an option to get the oppo turned round. It seemed to inhibit us far more than boro. I am no tactical genius and await insightful comment to explain that I have it wrong, from the learned posters.
