  1. Absolute rubbish tonight. Played right into their hands trying to match them instead of imposing ourselves down the flanks like Saturday. Nuttall and Tollitt should have been taken off far sooner as both couldn't find a blue shirt. The 2nd goal for them looked to be a foul on the keeper to me but he still could have done better. When we did get crosses in we only had Norwood in there against 3 defenders so not much chance. Nuttall was out wide far too much and is too soft.
  2. I was sat almost level with it and he pushed him over with his forearm. Everybody round us couldn't believe we got away with it.
  3. I thought the tone was set early with Dickenson and Kitching attacking as a pair down the left. They put some great crosses in that could on another day have had us 2 or 3 nil up before we actually scored. The difference that it makes having players that can go outside the fullback and cross is amazing. I was critical of Nuttall early on in the game as he wasn't using his strength enough but when he got the bit of luck (he definitely fouled their player) to tee Norwood up for the first he grew into the game.
  4. He played there in the last home game of the season and looked better than he does in the middle.
  5. I think hes both. He seems to think we are stupid as well though.
  6. A bad performance next week and I think we will start to hear calls for him to go at games. He needs to learn quickly as this is exactly how he started last season.
  7. I give it until October, if we carry on like this he will be gone.
  8. I don't feel for him at all. He's crap and should be nowhere near our team. His all round play is terrible. He rarely wins a header or even challenges for them and when he does head it the ball goes away from it's intended target.
  9. Ogle has an injury according to Scunthorpe fans as he didn't play in their last friendly.
  10. We always seemed to do well against Wolves as we beat them the season before that when they had John De Wolff playing for them. I searched for a photo of Beckford wearing the Keeper top as I have recollections of it being the programme front cover a few weeks later. I didn't find anything although there is a clip of him playing in goal for Norwich and making a good save.
  11. I think the Bull red card was the following season then.
  12. It was Wolves at home. I think if I remember correctly Steve Bull was sent off in the first half as well.
  13. Iverson should have been Leicesters number one all season but they stuck with Ward who made quite a few mistakes.
  14. Yarney signed a new deal a few months ago until the end of next season. It might be that the are looking to get him on a 2 year deal on more money.
  15. I said the exact same thing. I watched the highlights before and it was very difficult to separate Magnus from their players.
  16. I thought Shelton was better there than playing in midfield. He did get caught out with the high cross field passes quite often though. I think we need a similar player to Kitching to play on the right and at least one midfielder that can pick forward passes.
  17. I was level with it and thought it was onside even if one of ours had touched it on to him. The lino took ages to flag as well.
  18. Ajax style one but swap the white for Tangerine and have it with blue shorts and socks. Away kit white and then a green third kit.
  19. Not just the money from this transfer. We sold other players for good prices and bought crap replacements like Nicky Banger, Toddy Orlygsson, etc. We also lost a few players for free or low fees due to the new Bosman ruling. The worst was losing Chris Makin for free to Marseille. Some of the young players that came through the youth system also didn't make the cut like we thought they would. We also had some very good players left over from being in the top flight which Graeme Sharp wouldn't utilise properly for example Darren Beckford who was a very good striker for that level but never played often even of he scored in his few appearances. I can remember talking to him at the time and he was very frustrated because the manager just didn't like him.
  20. http://www.scottishfootballblog.co.uk/2012/01/forgotten-scotland-players-paul-bernard.html?m=1 I came across this article about Paul Bernard, I find it a bit sad what happened to him as he was a great player for us.
  21. Tollitt went to do that yesterday and Unsworth shouted at him to get back into the massive group of players bunched up on one side.
