  1. Hes on the front page of the Leicester Mercury today so just about a done deal (Sven that is)
  2. Hope your daughter gets on OK Bob - family comes first every time. Take care, and keep us posted on here as to how she is doing.
  3. Oh sarky lol - just a long way to travel then find out it was ticket only - thats all - it doesn't usually say about buying tickets to home games, which is why I asked the question, but perhaps safer to ring the ticket office. Cheers!
  4. Don't mean to moan mate, but it is a lifeline for us exiles who cannot go to every game - suppose we take you for granted really - thanks for when it is open!
  5. Is there a reason why it was not working last Tuesday or yesterday?
  6. Anyone who was seated would have seen this - cannot see it mentioned. The team and Mr Penney took a fair amount of stick from some fans who were booing and shouting as they went back in at full time. I was not one of them, but equally could not applaud them either, as I thought it was a very lacklustre half hearted performance from the Latics, and thought we were lucky to get the point. The apology from Mr Penney is for this : if I had been the manager of that bunch of players, I would have put my head down as I went past the fans. Mr Penney, though, chose to get level with us, then he smirked at the stand of us. My husband had to physically hold me back, as I was itching to follow him down the tunnel and give him a piece of my mind - how utterly despicable for all the travelling fans - he should hang his head in shame, as he obviously has no respect for any of us - leave now and lets have someone who can inject some passion, and someone who has some interest in what happens to the club. And while I am at it, what a dump of a ground - no light in the toilets - Latics Lady not a happy bunny, and made my feelings clear to a steward. By the way, well done to the 393 who went.
  7. What a wonderful age to get to. Don't know u personally but my heart goes out to you - losing a parent is unthinkable to me. Hope you have plenty of family and friend's support - my sincere condolences and love to you xx
  8. Pay £10 to stand a better chance of staying in the league - think we would all pay it! I travelled up yesterday and thought he was pretty solid, held up ball, got stuck in and if he lost the ball he would do his best to get it back again. Count me in. Also, I should really eat my words, cos I slated him as a signing, but after watching him yesterday he brought something to the team.
  9. Will give him a chance cos he is going to play in a Latics shirt - whether he will be fit to wear it will be answered in time - I hope I am proved wrong.
  10. So we have waited one month and we sign on loan a player from a team in our division - didn't work with Constantine and bet this won't either. Sorry to be so negative, and will obviously give him a chance, but waiting a month for a decent striker then bringing someone in who is not playing regular football for Milwall - very disappointing, and we have relegation battle going through the team like a stick of rock. Sorry DP, but think you could have done better. Does not bode well.
  11. What worries me is that, just listening to Pav on Latics Player, he says he is nowhere near fit yet and just about certain not to be starting next week - and we send Blackman back. A striker NOW and a goalie please.
  12. Think we should all give ourselves a very large pat on the back - which other set of supporters are going to watch such utter half hearted rubbish by a bunch of so-called professionals who could not be bothered, yet we were all able to sing and create an atmosphere like that. The ticket business yesterday also left a lot to be desired, as a lot seemed to have bought tickets together but were given seats in different rows. Also, the chaos in trying to get everyone seated was a disgrace - reminded me of Brentford a couple of seasons away. If we were in the league table of supporters, we would be top of the Premiership. IMO the Oldham outfit as a whole (manager, owners and players) leave a lot to be desired. Why are we all putting the effort in - was a trek from Leicester yesterday, with woman flu, never mind how many had to travel all the way from Oldham. What a shame the players could not put in the effort we did. "Lets pretend we scored a goal" - brilliant - thats why I am proud of being a supporter. Just not sure when I can be bothered to go again yet - might wait to see them put a bit more effort in - but we will see ...
  13. Kept well up to date by my brother thank goodness - and danced around complex when heard Pav had scored - got a few funny looks but who cares - I was on holiday!
