And to clear some things up about my dad from the abuse that has gone on here: 1) he wears the chicken hat for a gimmick, he's known as "chicken jeff" all his life as he likes chicken a lot, that's it. 2) he does not do this for attention he does it for a laugh with his mates, not for your benefit, don't flatter yourselves 3) he clapped as this is a known mark of respect, pbserved throughout many events, this was the way he wished to honour the player, nothing to do with you or anyone else, it was HIS way of honouring the player. wether or not you agree with clapping is your own opinion, but don't start throwing abuse around if other people differ in opinion. That is all im saying and I am once again leaving this site in the same circumstances as last time.

all very nice comments about my dad, where are these admins that monitor this offensive material towards other supporters? I remember why I don't post on here, I wanted to clarify my dads point of view and through your own opinions which differ from my dads you have suddenly decided he deserves a torrent of abuse. Then again this is what I have come to expect off this message board. It is fine having a difference of opinion but this is shocking, I mean truly shocking to read people say this stuff about my dad. Then again its the same old posters form years ago when I did post, I think there needs to be more clarity on the rules on OWTB posting, are you allowed to do this abuse? are you not? or are you allowed so long as you have been a very active poster?

I think the 2 accepted forms of respect are the applause and the silence, I believe so long as either is met the show of respect is the outcome and that's all that matters, playitlivo you don't realise how many times this sort of explanation happens!

By all means everyone is entitled to mark their respect in their own way so long as it's not causing offense and don't believe people should scowl at my dad for doing this himself

Sorry feel the need to get involved here the woman in the chicken hat who started clapping was in fact my dad - Jeff, lifelong supporter of latics, in his own words Wayne Harrison was one of the best footballers he ever saw play for latics, he wanted to respect him with an applause so that's what he did, in no way was his actions offensive nor did he encourage anyone else to take to applause, it was his way of respecting him and it was took up by many others soon after, Cheers, Sean

feel free to use the photos if you wish guys, I think the main stand isnt being demolished, just stripped and built up again, thats what he was suggesting when i suggested moving the new stand back to allow room for main stand development, however main stand will have seats going further back.

I think we would be better 4 3 3 same defence, furman taylor and millar midfield, parker and morais on wings and smith up front in a darren bent-esque role I would hope that by the next game we will have it sorted and im hoping for 6 points from our next 3 league games aswell as advancing in the cup!
