If according to the Burnley fan, Andy has a "footballing brain" and is a "great passer" of the ball, (Niether of which I remember as being facets of his game in the past though..... ), then couldn't he fit the requirements of a play making experienced midfielder that we are looking for?
John Sheridan did exactly this job for us for a few years. Like Andy, his legs and fitness had gone so he just commanded the centre circle and directed play from there. Could Andy Cole do this job for us instead until Scholesy finally comes to his senses, gives up the £50k+ a week he's on and signs for us?
Just a thought. Surely we can't be looking to sign him as a forward, we have about 6 players in that position already.
