Close to Manchester which to any American is one of the footballing capitals of Europe. It's not a too uugly a club to an outsider with limited footballing knowledge and a decent amount of money.

He pulled out of the Rangers deal when his second offer of 20M was rejected suggesting that's what hes looking to spend.

I don't want to get slaughtered just heard it through a decent source. This guy owns an nba team. In a q and a this guy said he is desperate to get into the English or Spanish football scene. Ended up getting dragged into the Rangers mess , probably cos they're going fairly cheep but has today pulled out of the running. The kind of money he was looking to put into rangers seems in line with whats needed to have decent go at this level and champ . Both new York based businesses men too . I'd say he was a good candidate.

Just decided last minute to go watch the lads tonight. As it is all ticket I went to our ticket office to purchace a ticket. They had sent them back at 2.00 pm . Nothing they could do. I phoned Mansfield they said theres nothing they can do. So here the is a cash paying fan being told despite oldham having only sold about 120 tickets. I cant buy one. A little bit dissapointed.

When will the fans turn against Corney? For the sake of the club I hope never. This man is the only reason Oldham Athletic are still here. Not because he saved us a DECADE ago , but because he has pumped money into the club year in and year out with very little return. Sure he has not thrown money at the team for success alla portsmouth, leeds etc he knows that was not sustainable. Lets not forget weve had a few good cracks at it in his time. Corney has kept this club running at an ok level for 10+ years and us as fans should be nothing but entirely gratefull! When this new stand goes up he will have improved this club massively in so many different ways. Some of our fans are riddiculouse!

Wanted to buy Myself a home shirt for the game tomorrow but to my surprise the shop was shut. It was about 14:30 when I went. Does it close early on a saturday and what time will it be open tomorrow? Does anyone know. Also tried JD .... managed to find a couple of training tops on the sale but no home shirts, Plenty of Liverpool shirts though!

Ok well done! Easy mistake in the heat of frustration with some of our narrow minded fans that seem to think everyone who cant afford a season ticket are not real fans. Mistake rectified.

Yeah if you dont have a season ticket you dont deserve to support oldham , Wish we had more fans with brains sometimes. I havent been able to buy a season ticket for the last few years because i have more important things i have to spend my money on, im sure this is the case for a lot of people who have supported latics through thick and thin for a lot longer than most of todays season ticket holders! in my opinion we should give liverpool the minimum amount of tickets and keep the rest for our fans, we need to be the majority fans and this will not be the case if they have 4,500 fans to our 6000 If the fans inspire the players as much as the make out then 9000 latics vs 1500 bin dippers would be the better option.

Is the plan for this stand to be the main stand . Guessing there will be a players tunnel to be added if so.
