We are being given every opportunity here aren't we. Hopefully they'll price it at £5 adults and free for kids.

Prices have to be agreed between both clubs, and Hendon will want to make as much money as they can from the game, as will have Mickleover

Can't stand Ed Sheeran.     Grew up in the 80's with proper music, nothing like the absolute garbage they put out today.      The kid supports our team, for that he's acceptable, but for everything else, just a name I fail to recognise.        Well done again on tonight.    Seriously, wish Latics all the best in the season ahead, it's such a shame to see a one proud club where they are now.     Joe Royle was manager for both, he was - and is - a great man.

Even though we're in a lowly league, the club is in a better state than it's been for many a year.

    The future should be bright!

It appears to be shared commentary with rugby and other Welsh FA cup matches.

The BBC commentary page takes the direct feed for the commentary for each game, it's quite good.

It doesn't just tune you in to that particular radio station.

Just be prepared, sometimes you only get silence right up until kick off. 👍

At the game with my dad, sister and nephew, and Luke Rothwell and Darren Royle have just been chatting with us for ages, just reinforcing how good we've got it with them.

It came up that this October will be my dad's 75th anniversary of his first ever game, and we've been offered to go in the directors' box as their guests!

We're thrilled, simple gesture I suppose but we're blown away, great start to the day, three points would top it off nicely!

Thanks to everyone at the club for following through with this, our family had a fantastic day on Saturday, we were well looked after

We were on a table with Joe Royle himself, so seeing my dad just get to natter away with him all day was fantastic

  5. Sounds like a knowledgeable lad.

All players are going to have some sort of drawbacks at this level, it's just a question of if you're able to mask them and accentuate the positives, or if the deficiencies are just too obvious and exploitable.

Of course opposition players at this level might but be good enough to exploit them either, it goes both ways.

Sheron in particular is an interesting one, bit inconsistent, but I like him a lot on his good days, and he should get that consistency as he goes into his later 20s. I think people assume he's older than he has (just turned 25 I think)

Oh, and he’s changed his mind from just needing 3 players when he was on the Pod to now saying he wants more players to get the squad to look like how he wants it. Oh this man. He never fails to disappoint. What a helmet.

The comment was that he was hoping to get three more players in by the Southend game.

Can we have some of this here?

  9. You could argue that we moved into a 4 at the back when Mansfield came into the final third with Kitching tracking back, but it was very much a 3 at the back system in the main.

Hogan played central and was tasked with mopping up any high long balls, and Hobson and Raglan played either side, Hobson clearly not advancing forward as a RB would.

He drifted towards the right at some points, to cover for Green who would be exposed if he was asked to defend too much, so I can see why some were caught out.

(edit: thought I'd challenge what I thought I saw and asked my dad, he messaged back saying pretty much what I did, but with the amount Mansfield had the ball at the start of the second half it might as well have been a 4)

  10. Pitch played proper, no demons in it or loose turf line you can get on some freshly laid pitches

You can tell it's easier to turn and control the ball

First bounce from a long ball takes it on quite a bit, but then it doesn't run out like plastic, it holds up alright

Weird to see away fans in main stand but I can't see there being any major issues

    Raglan looks good

  11. 1 hour ago, Lee Sinnott said:

True, but this is David Unsworth we're talking about...

No, not Unsworth, sorry, I was referring to fans putting Raglan at RB in their predicted teams (presumably because they've heard he's played there before, but only a handful of times according to the rarely-wrong transfermarkt!)

  12. Not too overegg the issue of whether we're going to sign this, admittedly good, player or not..

But perhaps don't place too much weight into what Twitter gossip says, one way or the other (and that goes for all unofficial sources really), especially when a relatively short time has passed.

In the end, it's all speculation, as is my next sentence.

Yes, his agent seems the sort to run at the last minute, Clyde Wijnhard style, but on the other hand it could be that it's sorted and we're now negotiating with Solihull over their compensation fee.

Who knows who else we might be after, I'd love another Raglan moment 😎

Will drop a couple of early caveats... it was hot as fucking hell. Impossible to dash from A-to-B because you were too busy sweating to death. Hit the Mrs really hard and she's not as music-obsessive as me, so certainly took things a little slower than originally planned. I am not complaining mind you, had a fucking great time and very much believe in the "you do your own Glastonbury" mantra.

That said, here's my list as best I can remember it:

    • Craig Charles
    • Unknown Mortal Orchestra

    • Wilkinson

I will do a more comprehensive breakdown of anyone you're interested in - I won't bore you with doing a play by play :D

Absolutely he did. The fella crowdsurfing a blow up bed was hilarious, too. He's basically on a mission to play every single stage at Glastonbury. He did three or four sets this year, the Park one being the only one on a stage big enough for the Beeb to cover. Apparently his set at the Greenpeace tree was amazing. I skipped that as it's in a pinch-point and gets mental busy when over-crowded. Plus I'd literally watched him at Park, so have to pick your battles and see other things.

Anyway - sixth year, still love it. Still need to put more shade up. Still need to control the flows better at the big stages (Elton was scary at times, especially being a football fan and knowing what the worst can bring). But I'd never rather be anywhere else.

Nice, was also my sixth one, really blown me away again this year, feeling really grateful for it all.

The bed crowdsurfer was one Woody Cook, Fatboy Jr, haha!

@Matt the Four Tet set was on the imposing iicon stage, and by all accounts he played a suitably brain melting DJ set, including a My Bloody Valentine track.

    Fingers crossed for next year..

  14. Chesterfield's prices have gone up quite a bit, seem to be about £340/350 on average, yet they've sold slightly more than us.

Add to that they've already got a good team together, then they're favourites next season for me, unless Notts County don't go up.

But I'd put us right there behind them.

We always seemed to do well against Wolves as we beat them the season before that when they had John De Wolff playing for them.  I searched for a photo of Beckford wearing the Keeper top as I have recollections of it being the programme front cover a few weeks later.  I didn't find anything although there is a clip of him playing in goal for Norwich and making a good save.
