  1. Oh O4U - where is your sense of adventure - chemotherapy is wonderful - you get the joy of eating food that permanently tastes of cardboard, that is when you actually feel hungry because you will notice that you tend to stop eating for periods of time, feeling tired all the time, being unable to concentrate for long periods of time (but you will already be used to that with our performances to date this season. I agree with some of your thoughts though, especially the one relating to lung cancer and being pissed off. As I said in one of my earlier messages back to you, unfortunately all you can do is fight the little bugger and keep a positive attitude because that will help a lot. Anyway I think you and me should have our own body bag competition to see if we can extend medical science!!! Best Wishes John
  2. O4U - don't give up without giving it a damn good fight. Been living with the big C myself for 11 years - it keeps taking a little nibble at me every now and then - no bum now, missing half a lung, three courses of Chemo - but its not getting me that easy. Keep fighting mate - we have the conference to look forward to yet!!! Best Wishes John
  3. Old men at the back of the old broadway stand - pre-Ford Stand - smoking their pipes - still remember the smell now.
  4. Nobody in their right mind would want to buy us. It is just a massive opportunity to throw wheelbarrows full of money down a bottomless pit. The only person hat would "want" to buy us would be a lifelong ardent supporter who had won the jackpot on euromillions i.e. £100 million + and used it as an expensive hobby.
  5. Well then - this is directed at the "people in the know" - has the rumour of the appearance of Jose at training got any substance to it or are we all playing wishful thinking? It would be nice to think we could attract him back and put an arm around his shoulder to keep him on the straight and narrow - but could we afford his wages?
  6. The stock answer to Tony and Sharon from Stroud is as follows:- We come from Oldham......(Where is Oldham?) ...have you ever heard of a place called Manchester? .......well Manchester is just outside Oldham
  7. Wellens has negotiated his release from Doncaster so I assume he will be signing with us over the next day or two - probably on a deal to the end of the season?
  8. There is always one exception to the rule - and you found it straight away
  9. If Dunn was to take a back seat from the playing side would anyone turn their nose up at a replacement in Richie Wellens? Wants to move back over here and we all know he could do a job for us. Just a thought you know!!
  10. There is definately something wrong in the club. This can't be allowed to go much longer. Kelly has no idea what he is doing - he can have all the coaching badges in the world but it doesn't mean he is any good at managing a team. We need a complete change and bring someone in who can turn this mess around and get us playing decent football with some idea where we are going. Please end this madness Simon and appointment a football manager who has some experience, has the respect of the players and can lead them forward. Everyone keeps saying we have the strongest squad for years - it doesn't look like it to me the way we are playing.
  11. I see he has finally gone - doesn't come as much of a surprise really - bit of a waste of a wage in my opinion. If we get a defensive problem we can always bring someone in on loan.
  12. I suspect if you had a sheep in the car in Leeds you would have a queue formed by the time you got back, maybe including a couple of traffic wardens!!!
  13. See Rosler has finished up at Leeds with the Italian Nutcase - good luck with that then - If he can't do anything with the size of Leeds he will never make it.
  14. It literally does need knocking down - the Heating, Plumbing and Electrical Services in there are all shot to pieces and it would cost well over £500K to replace them with new and still be left with a ramshackle stand.
  15. Beag - Has Hell frozen over yet? Looks like your boys took a hell of a beating - never mind you can have another go in five years time, might even have found another leader by then from the great unwashed. Lots of Love and Kisses John xxx
  16. Blood Hell Beag, I didn't expect chapter and verse on the failings of everyone since the start of life as we know it - I take it you won't be voting Conservative today then?
  17. Yes Beag - lets get rid of these clowns and vote in the bigger clowns that we got rid of 5 years ago for getting us into the mess we were in. I wouldn't let them look after the petty cash never mind the country.
  18. You would look glum if you had just realised that your new manager selection was costing you thousands of pounds worth of season tickets. Look on the bright side though Simon, at least it won't cost you much in player bonuses this year - based on the new managers experience level it will be Pop and Crisps all round on the coach home.
  19. Bruce Grobalar - apologies for mis-spelling - ready to dodge the PC Police and school teachers!!!!
  20. Talk about causing an argument in an empty house - just for the record whilst I don't want to be a socialist/communist etc. neither do I want to be a Manure Fan or any Premier Greed club come to think of it. We may all differ from a political angle but at least we all have one thing in common - a love for everything OAFC.
  21. But don't forget - some of us do not want socialism or collectivism - it's just another form of dragging everyone down to the lowest common denominator.
  22. It wasn't the 'international financial crisis' that made Brown plunge us into deeper debt than we have ever been in before and spend recklessly on flagship projects we could never pay for. I assume the majority of you work so if you want to pay more in taxes again you carry on voting labour Baaaaa
