  1. The accounts covered an 18 month period from 1 Jan 2012 to 30 June 2013. The profit for the period was £283,725, but the amount owed to creditors increased during the period to £5,967,510 (from £5,948,554). The balance sheet value of the club from -£5,416,066 to -£5,132,341 reflects the profit made during the period.
  2. Just checked and discovered I've actually seen Sid play for Almere City. I have relatives who live in Helmond and I usually visit when PSV or Helmond Sport are at home. I was at Helmond Sport when they played Almere City on 1 October 2010. Although they were bottom of the table Almere City were impressive in a 4-2 win, Sid scoring two of the goals. Can't say I remember him but it was the night after my 60th birthday "do" and you can drink in your seat throughout the game in Holland. Looking forward to more of the same from him.
  3. Got mine this morning around 11-15am. Asked if tickets were being sold in the Upper Bullens. The reply was "yes". Don't know who served me but it wasn't Janice or Becky. Asked for 2 (I had 2 season tickets with me) and got Row J in LV2, which isn't the Upper Bullens! Didn't check properly til I got home. Has anyone bought tickets in UV1 or UV2 which I am assuming is the Upper Bullens?
  4. Not like you to get it wrong Pete, but it was 11-0 against Southport (I was there). The 11-2 victory was against Chester which was a bit before my time. Cheers, Ray.
  5. Prices out now with Thetrainline, Raileasy & Cross Country Trains all showing £36 return Piccadilly to Dagenham Dock (2 miles from ground). No charge for paying by credit card with Cross Country Trains, other 2 both charge for credit card payment.
  6. Thanks for this information Barry, I hope your beliefs are correct that Simon B and Daniel will not jeopardise the future of the club (for the time being at least). Like you say the Club owes them a substantial sum which cannot be repaid at the moment (reckon we probably owe over £5 million). I think we can continue to play at Boundary Park until 2014, should we be able to survive that long, when we could be forced to vacate. Meanwhile, do you know if building work is to continue around the ground, which would effectively mean that any new investment would not involve buying back the BP site for re-development? If we are not being charged rent, the debt owing is not being called in and we are being allowed time to attract new investment, then at least there's hope. Presumably new investment will have to be at least £25 million - i.e. pay off the debt and fund "Failsworth". Obviously, the better the team performs this season and the higher up the league we get, then more attention will be focused on us which can only help attract investment. I get the feeling that the next 12 months is make or break for us. For the record, in reply to earlier posts, I obtained a few documents from Companies House last week and can confirm that in OAFC Simon Blitz has 49 Ord £1 A shs, Daniel Gazal has 48 Ord £1 A shs, so they are the club's owners. In addition they both have 1 Ord £1 share each in Brassbank Ltd, but this company is dormant and the latest filed accounts for the year ended 31/10/08 show that the company had net assets of £2 i.e. the issued share capital. The BP site therefore is not held within this company, but it doesn't really matter as there is no argument that Messrs Blitz & Gazal own it. The purpose of my enquiry into this company was to establish what the latest balance sheet value of any land held was and compare it with the 1996 figure (between £4 and5 million) and the price they paid for it in 2004 (£4.5 million reported elsewhere). Just seems to me that they got a good deal based on the 1996 value. Cheers Ray
  7. The shareholding position of Oldham Athletic (2004) AFC Ltd, taken from the club's Annual Return submitted to Companies House on 9/12/09, is as follows:- Simon Blitz 49 Ord £1 A shares (Full voting rights) Daniel Gazal 48 Ord £1 A shares (Full voting rights) The Supporters Trust 3 Ord £1 B shares (No voting rights) The fact that it's Messrs Blitz and Gazal who own the club leads me to believe that Simon Corney hasn't invested anything! He has simply been running the club on a daily basis for them, together with Alan Hardy.
  8. Why do we never have someone on the posts when defending a corner? Cost us a goal there and seem to recall it also cost us at Colchester. The only team who shouldn't guard their posts from a corner are from down the road - it cost them a Champions League exit (Fantastic!).
  9. Thanks for this info. Was going to book train tickets on Friday for 2 of us.
  10. Just been to BP to book a coach ticket but none left. Booked a train ticket online - raileasy.co.uk - leaving Picadilly 10.30 arrive Hereford 12.40, leave Hereford 17.55 arrive Picadilly 20.15. Total cost £40.42
