The football at home has been dire and now is not the time to replicate it away but it sounds like today was just that. We are still in the play-off places and Tuesday is probably as pivotal as they come. The away from home winning machine must get back on track. I`ll have to get to Halifax to lend them some support. I don't like the football I am seeing but I really do want us to get out of this league as it's truly awful. We need to find a way up this season for me or we could be stuck here a long time because I don't think the support will be maintained next season in non-league and that will have a detrimental effect all round.

I`ve just realised it's Chesterfield after Halifax. I`d say Halifax is a must win now.

Lose both following this result and thats probably the play offs gone, unless another team becomes as woeful as us.

I think Mellon is as much to blame. He fucks around with the line-up week on week and I don’t think he has a fucking clue what his best team is or how he wants them to play.

We’ve had Sachdev, Sutton, and Hogan all playing RWB recently….

a settled side would be a good start surely?

Albeit when you have 2 games a week for so many weeks in a row there's going to have to be some form of rotation

Tough one to take that so soon after Saturday.

I thought Tollitt and Dickenson didn't have very good games, partly down to Halifax playing their 5 at the back effectively and cutting down the space before anything could develop

They came with a game plan to be solid defensively and give nothing easy away and we were lacking creativity tonight to break them down.

So I really didn't understand our subs tonight with how the game was going. Fondop for Nuttall was like for like and not really going to change anything. Gardner sat on the bench when we needed creativity was baffling for me. Willoughby, Reid and Gardner have to come on before 70th minute for me there

Over a season there are games where performances aren't quite there for every team, but if we want to be up there at the end of the season we need to find a way to get over the line in those types of game.

I don't think we should be making managerial changes 3 games in, but DU has to take a decent portion of blame for the tactics tonight

Does he ever take any portion of blame?

As this thread's been resurrected, it's interesting to note that Monsieur Banide only lasted 11 matches with us. Just two wins this time, one of those v Liverpool U21s!

Now Manager of Monaco's women's team. Or at least was appointed last year. Don't know if he's still there
