  1. Thanks, NZ. I've been on the site today and the link has now appeared, perhaps you have to wait until the day of the match, but I'm grateful for your help.
  2. Thanks, Joe I have been on there and followed their instructions, but it just keeps bouncing me around the website. I've watched us live this season, unfortunately, and my history is there but no links to sign up for the Kidderminster game. I'll keep trying though.
  3. Is the game being shown? only I can't find any links either on Latics or the National League website.
  4. Thanks Chaddy, it's been a hoot! (I'll get me coat, door, etc.)
  5. Just for the sake of a balanced argument what are the "unreasonable demands" from the Fans Led Group,? does anybody know?
  6. As it now looks like Salford City has become the old boys club with Beckham joining and, as Robboman has rightly stated it's Peter Lim's shares he's bought, Schole's looks like he's distanced himself from Latics, then which of the betting sites seem to be the most reliable to see who the best viable candidates are?
  7. ...it went down, but has now earned millions, if not billions of pounds.
  8. David Beckham has just bought a 10% share in Salford City, I don't know if its Schole's shares.
  9. That's right, the golden days of steam-driven computers. I remember a member called parigby, does he post on here?
  10. We could get Wagner as manager from Huddersfield!
  11. I wonder if we could get Jamie Verdi on loan from Leicester?
  12. I was using Opera, but took Singe's advice and tried Firefox. I had to disable my uBlock Origin ad-blocker for it to work though. Thanks for the help
  13. On the fishul site I cannot view the interviews with manager/players from the Crewe/Rochdale games. Is anyone else having problems? Apologies if this has already been posted.
  14. I just hope it's not that clapped-out double-decker bus that Swans used for the Morecambe game. I'm still in traction from that and Grimsby is a lot further.
  15. 1. Style: He's brought in, or trying to, a way of playing the game in a fast, high-tempo fashion with the emphasis of possession, but using that possession in a positive way. 2. Media : He speaks openly in the press, which I find personally refreshing. I have never subscribed to players not being openly criticised. Some players react to criticism well, I give you the reaction of Jack Byrne. He was dropped after the Wigan game, then came on as sub against Blackpool, scored, then went over to Wellens with a look of 'take that and shove it where the sun don't shine". Wellens said that's the sort of reaction he loves. 3. Recruitment and Contacts: He was a top quality player and was well-respected for it at the clubs he played for, so I believe other clubs will look favourably on him, because of the way he played and the way he wants his team to play. In my opinion Doyle, Byrne and Bryan all returned, because of these factors. We have also got Big Al's contacts from his days as an agent to add as well. We need to give a manager a decent run, we can't be going through managers at the rate we are and still expect success. The points League One forever makes concerning facilities, takeover, etc. are all valid points, which means that if Big Al can improve these elements then surely Wellens can only get better. I say say stick with Wellens and let's do something we've not done for years, which is to have some real consistency and stability at the club
  16. We're getting the 59 near Chaddy precinct; get off on Middleton Road. Cross over to Bury Old Road and get the 135. It goes right past the Swan & Cemetery pub and drops you at the bottom of Gigg Lane.
  17. Stick with Wellens OK he got the starting line-up wrong, but corrected it, after which we improved a lot. Their keeper made two 'worldie' saves and Davies should've scored from Duckens Nazon's cross. We're back to a turnip patch of a pitch again, so like Shez had to, he's going to have to play more direct at home, which, to be fair to him he alluded to in his post-match interview. He's a young manager just starting out at a club where the recent upheaval of a takeover must have had an effect. I know people say it shouldn't, but the reality is, it does. Richie Wellens was a top class player, very much like Shez, but I think he tries to get his players to see and do the things that he used to, but some of them aren't that good, that's why they're in this league. He mentioned about giving some players too much information in his post-match interview, which suggests to me that he's learning lessons. Whether or not AL will give him time, even if we're relegated or not, is in his hands. A new playing surface, a few players and patience is what is required, not the continuing merry-go-round of managers/players we have been doing.
  18. Sorry if this already been done, but could this be the reason for off-loading of players quickly, to free up room and funds for Jack's permanent move? https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hearts/hearts-pull-the-plug-on-deal-for-wigan-s-jack-byrne-1-4652709
  19. Perhaps Channel 5 are filming an episode of 'Can't pay...we'll take it anyway' and they've sent the bailiffs in to reposses Barry's red fleece.
  20. This is my two-penneth, for what it's worth; Has the ground improved? – Yes, it could've been a lot better, but the financial crash of ‘07/08 put pay to that. Are we financially better off? – if the sale/investment goes through, then a big yes, but as we were treading on thin ice as far as financial survival goes, before the T3A arrived, then it’s still yes, which is evident in that we still have a club. Has the football improved? – this is subjective, because of the different managers we've had. Dowie, Shez, Johnson and now Wellens have brought football that is good to watch again. Talbot, Moore, Dunn were a hard watch and Penney’s reign was a cure for insomnia. Kelly was an odd choice, to say the least, which I’m not too sure what involvement SC had with his appointment. Robinson had an almost impossible task given what he had to work with, so I’m neutral on this. He does seem to back the managers, because of the large turnover of players we have had over the years. PR/communication – has been a disaster, especially recently. The decision to bring in Lee Hughes was wrong, I’m all for people having a second chance, but a club with a small and fickle fan base as we have can’t afford to be a half-way house. The Ched Evans affair was a nightmare. The deafening silence from the club, with stories about winding-up petitions, the reasons for late payment of players, our financial status, etc. just shouldn't happen with different types of media available for the club to get the message across. There are probably a lot more considerations to take in, but IMHO, I’m on the ‘positive contribution’ side.
  21. On the way in last night one of the stewards said she had seen Darren Ferguson at BP. Hopefully after that performance they might want to give Wellens a few games to show what he can do. It gives more time time for 'due diligence' and 'red fleece' to work their wonders..
  22. The still shows the initial contact is outside the area, so it shouldn't have been a penalty, but it does show that Wilson is the last man so I don't think there is much of a case for an appeal. Maddison made a decision; should I carry on and try to score? or should I try and manufacture a penalty, get the lad sent off and use the advantage in numbers to our advantage? In today's game, players, IMHO, are much more cynical and he chose the second option. I cannot really blame the ref for the red card, or the penalty, because the linesman was no help to him. We got away with at least one stonewall penalty decision, maybe the ref had been told about the first one, who knows, but we won anyway. If blame goes anywhere it should be to Doyle for that horrendous pass that put Wilson on the spot, and I think it was another poor pass from him that led to the corner from which they scored, but I'll forgive him 'cos he scored twice. +++UPDATE+++ On the 'stonewall' penalty, I've just seen Grant McCann's interview on their website and he was asked should Peterborough have been awarded another penalty, he said "No, I've seen the replay and he lost his footing".
