  1. Did I say it wasn't? Nope don't think so. It is very worthy, if I'd wanted to query the charity I would have done. I merely said it would have been a nice gesture to donate a "proportion" to a charity linked with the man who's name is writ loud on the flag, thats all. It seems logical to me.
  2. Brilliant Andy, hats off to you chaps for all the hard work and effort on your own time over the last 12 months, as you know I know how time consuming things like Factor50 can be. It is to be hoped that the research team can make a breakthrough so that people don't succumb to this terrible condition like Ernie did. Which brings me to my next point, and I know its been mentioned elsewhere, and for that slapped down with knickers in a twist gusto but wouldn't it have been nice if the chaps doing this 92 grounds thingy could have donated a proportion of funds raised to Factor50, bearing in mind they'll be waving that Ernie flag, the juxtaposition of the two seems to me to make it an obvious idea.
  3. I remembered when I were driving earlier, ""Anotherangle""! Anyone who remembers you sunshine will realise my initial description was spot on, although I could have said barking mad or bonkers, but loony will suffice. Still parping on with the same old tosh, yes I have 27 usernames on this site alone, the admin on here give me special dispensation because I'm special needs!
  4. Bob?? Sense of humour?? No sorry Latics Pete you've lost me there
  5. Didn't see these Fylde Blue missives first time around, but they do seem in style to be similar to those of that loony who posted on JKLatics, around the time of the play offs with Blackpool, and for that matter earlier. Somebody who claimed to live over that way. Wanted a meeting with Barry Owen. Can't remember the username, he/she was quite mad, anybody remember?
  6. I tuned into this thread thinking there was something funny in it. Alas no its just about a former player. Not a very good one admittedly, just one getting a P45, wow hilarious! Seriously, he played for us he moved on, perhaps its time to that ourselves eh, move on?
  7. Interesting. Mr Penny says he knows TP from their days at Cardiff, so lets hope this happens eh.
  8. Must say I've always like the cut of his jib when I've seen him at youth games, the way he talks to the players and the way he obviously expects them to conduct themselves is top notch, but then Shez was quite similar when he looked after the youth team. Did he say he like more involvement because its always been said, himself included, that he's doing what he really wants to do, bringing young players through.
  9. Lets be honest Alec by October you'll have already decided, not matter how well he's doing, that he doesn't quite come up to your exacting standards and henceforth will snipe at him on an intermittent and totally irrational basis.
  10. Thanks to the gods of football you're not in a position to make the appointment then. We didn't need the village idiot as manager.
  11. What Pete said! And I do know one or two on here, by sight to say hello to thats all, and some because they've been posting since the days JK Latics was on Inside the Web 10 years ago, wouldn't know FMS or Latics Pete if I fell over them. Funny how people like you always resort to stuff like "only Stipe Tripe and his mates/approved posters are allowed to express......", very sad.
  12. The clue is in what Mr Punkyster wrote "why?...i don't know, but he personally told me back in the bluebell on broadway days. did he get rejected as a youngster??" I've seen a few Latics this morning and the reaction to Robbins arriving at BP has been the same, unsolicited, unprompted and all the same opinion of the little get.
  13. Quite like the thought of Andy Holden, being ahem groomed at Everton, seemed to have worked for Alan Irvine. Somebody said yesterday that he wouldn't take any BS and if he managed like he played wouldn't accept any slackers either.# # he only played briefly for us because of injury but was totally committed, anybody who saw his performance at Stamford Bridge (gulp 20 years ago it seems after consulting Soccerbase) in our 2-2 in the pishing rain will know what I mean. Dragging all the players down to our sodden corner 2 miles from the pitch in them days celebrating like we'd won the Cup, happy days.
  14. Exactly the little despises Latics and has made no secret of it, if TTA appoint this odious little turd they can right off!
  15. No but there is obviously a huge Ner ner ner ner ner ner one [stupid winky thing in case DS takes the huff, again!!!]
  16. Yup the tone of FMS's posting is totally different. What a surprise Corp read it differently, or chose to.
  17. Depends who the new man is! But yes three months off and with a new ST in me grubby mits it'll definitely be a new season, whether I'll be ready for it is another matter.
  18. You should have also said I'm sick of thinking well that was an utter waste of a Saturday afternoon / Tuesday night. But nail on head FMS, nail firmly on head.
  19. Maybe Doncaster decided, after initial interest and after listening to the insular footballing grapevine that they'd give Mr Hughes a swerve, and who could blame them, his alleged extra curricular activities considered!
  20. Not a moan, an observational moan! [stupid winky thing] BP has never, other than on a mind numbingly tiny proportion of occasions over the last 33 years of my attendance trembled let alone beat, 3 or 4 sides. I saw talk last week that we've never been so badly off for (home) crowds, well let me say that the only tremble we got in the mid 80's at times (couple of home games in the old division 2 getting 2500ish and just 2800 one night for the visit of Middleborough!) was some flatulent oaf letting go with gusto at the back of the Chaddy. I'd say the vast majority of my years trudging to BP has witnessed a distinct lack of atmosphere. Thats the thing tho' we remember the times when it was good, expunge the rest. What this has to do with anything I dunno and I don't care.
  21. Firstly you didn't have to buy one! Secondly serves y'all right for being cheapskates in the first place, Thirdly anybody who moved to the RRE got an extra discount on what it cost me fer my ticket, so skarrrrrrrrrrrrooooooowwwwwwwwww you! [do I really need to add a stupid winky thing here?]
